Mango Bunny Polish Sept and Oct

{Press Sample}

I have both the September and the October Mango Bunny Polish subscription box polishes to show you!

The September Bunny of the month was Mango Bunny Polish Mums the Word. This is a nude crelly with multi-colored glitters. I used three thin coats for this one. I love wearing it and I think it’s quite beautiful!

Mango Bunny Polish Blue Moon is the October Bunny of the Month. This is a holo periwinkle. I did two coats for this swatch.

Here is Blue Moon with flash from my camera. Now you can really see the gorgeous holo.

What do you think of these two beautiful indie polishes?

Starlooks Looksbook November 2015

{Press Sample}

Starlooks sent me the Starlooks Looksbook November 2015 box to show you. This box comes with three mini products specially selected for the Looksbook.

This month, we received a lipgloss, a cream blush, and a shadow base.

There was also $15 worth of coupons in the box this month.

The Looksbook comes with a little book that gives an idea for using each of the products.

Here I am wearing all three products. I think the blush and the lipgloss provide for a very nice, natural look. I used the eye product as a base for my eyeshadow and it did help the shadow stick a bit better.

What do you think of this month’s Starlooks looksbook?

GlitterDaze Supernova Zombie

{Purchased by Me}

Today I have a quickie swatch for you! This is GlitterDaze Supernova Zombie from the October Daze of the Month subscription box. This is a duochrome with flakie glitters as well as some holo shimmer. I did like the looks of this one better in the bottle. It got a little lumpy once on the nail, even with topcoat.

Even though it’s a tad lumpy, I still think it’s pretty!

Fairytale Finish October 2015

{Purchased by Me}

Today I have the October 2015 Fairytale Finish subscription box to show you! First up is Leaf Jumper which is a hot pink cream with multi colored glitters.

Next, this is Autumn Twilight which is my favorite of the two. This is a deep purple (almost black) jelly with purple and gold glitters.

What do you think of this month’s Fairytale Finish duo?

Ipsy October 2015

{Purchased by Me}{Referral Link}

I got my October 2015 Ipsy bag in the mail yesterday! This is one of my favorite bags I’ve received. Ever. I’m super excited about each and every one of the products I got! The bag itself is super fun this month. The theme for October is “Alter Ego” and the bag perfectly emulates that. On one side, it’s glossy black. And on the other, it’s matte gold! How fun is that?

Let’s see what goodies I got this month!

Ayers hand cream – this will be perfect to throw in my purse! I always need hand lotions this size for on-the-go moisture.

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long-Lasting liquid lipstick in Committed. This looks gorgeous! And the color payoff is amazing! (See below!)

Laura Geller baked blush in Tropic Hues. I’m super excited about this because I’ve heard nothing but good things about LG baked blushes. The color is gorgeous and I can’t wait to try it out.

Lavanila Pure Vanilla Perfume. I love vanilla based perfumes. Mostly because they make me smell like cake.

Emite Make Up tweezers. I use tweezers for everything that normal people use their nails for. :P That way, I don’t break a nail!!

Looks at these gorgeous swatches!!ipsy-oct-2015-review

Starlooks Starbox September 2015

{Press Sample}

Starlooks sent me the September 2015 Looksbook to show you. This is a custom box each month with a collection of three products that will create a unique look.

This month, the Looksbook contained a lipstick, an eyeshadow duo, and a blue mascara. I was pretty excited when I saw the color of the lipstick. What a gorgeous pink! Unfortunately, it has a very dry application. Some of my favorite lipsticks are Starlooks brand so I was surprised this one didn’t live up to what I expect of their lip colors.

The eye colors applied much better than the lipstick! They were creamy and smooth which is much more like what I expect from this brand.

Here I am sporting the eyeshadow duo and the lippie. I felt like wearing blue  mascara would just be too much.

This month’s box was on the disappointing side. I’ve come to expect a lot more from Starbox. I can’t wait to see what they come up with for next month!

Ipsy September 2015 Glam Bag

{Referral Link}

Here’s my Ipsy Glam Bag for September! I’ve had this for about a week now but couldn’t post earlier since I had a terrible head cold. I was out of commission for a whole week! (I’m way better now!) I always know when I’m sick if I don’t feel like doing my hair, nails, and makeup!

I got another super great bag this month from Ipsy. If you want to sign up, please use my referral link by clicking here.

J Cat Beauty Waterproof Slide on Pencil in Bronze

City Color Be Bold Mascara

Avene Soothing Moisture Mask

Trust Fund Beauty Elegantly Wasted

NYX Ipsy Palette

Here is a look I did using the NYX palette. I tried to use the J Cat Beauty eyeliner as well but the color payoff was terrible so unfortunately, that guy is going in the trash. But these eyeshadows are pretty nice!

(If my life was a horror movie, that slash of light in the photo would mean that there was a ghost in the room with me!!)

Fairytale Finish September 2015 Subscription Box

{Purchased By Me}

This month’s Fairytale Finish Neverending Fairytales subscription box brings us two gorgeous polishes and a delicious-smelling cuticle balm. There was also a sheet of coupon codes for a bunch of other indie polishes! This month is owner Amanda’s birthday, thus the extra celebration!

Fairytale Finish After Party Dress is a black jelly with multi colored microglitter.

Fairytale Finish 27 Cupcakes is an off-white crelly with multicolored and multisized glitter. The one problem with this polish is that it reminds me of funfetti cake and I can’t stop craving it since I’ve been wearing it!

Starlooks Looksbook August 2015

{Press Sample}

Starlooks sent me their August 2015 Looksbook to share with you! If you like what you see, you can sign up for $12/month using this referral link! Each month, you get three brand new, limited edition “Perfect Size” items. (That’s code for mini’s.) Each month, it comes in a lovely box with a fold out brochure to give you a ‘look’ idea.

You also get three coupon codes to various sites. Unfortunately, this month, none of them were ones I was compelled to use.

The Looksbook comes in a literal book. The packaging is super cute and it felt more like a present than other sub boxes.

In the book/box, they provide a foldout brochure with suggestions on how to wear the products provided.

This month, we got three products: A lipstick, an eyeshadow duo, and an eyeshadow stick.

The packaging of these items looks fancier than normal Starlooks products. It must be something about the gold accents! :)

Upon swatching these, I could tell these are not really ‘my’ colors. I don’t look that great in orange and both the eyeshadow and the lipstick have quite a bit of orange in them. Being the trooper that I am, I decided to create a look using them nonetheless.

The green shadow stick does not have a very good color payoff. I would get some on my lid, but when I tried to blend it so it didn’t look clumpy, the color just left. Believe it or not, I did put it on for these pictures!

The powder eyeshadow looked a lot better than I was expecting. I was worried it would look super orange on my lids but it actually looks ok. The lipstick is too light for me. I like a rosier lip.

If this was my first experience with a Starbox, I would be a tad disappointed. However, I know that they have a track record of some pretty great boxes, so I would recommend sticking around. This makeup combo would probably look pretty fantastic on someone less pale than me and perhaps with a different personality. :)

August 2015 Starlooks Starbox

{Press Sample}

Starlooks sent me their August 2015 August 2015 Starbox to share with you! If you like what you see, you can sign up for $12/month using this referral link! Each month, you get three brand new, limited edition “Perfect Size” items. (That’s code for mini’s.) What’s that? $12 for MINI’s? You must be joking. BUT WAIT! There’s more! I also got SIXTY DOLLARS in discount codes. Stop the presses. That’s pretty awesome. So now I can try out items and if I love them, I can go get a full-sized version. Or if I hate them, I can buy something completely different!

What’s that? You want my referral link again? Here you go:

For the discount codes, I did have to make three separate purchases because you can only use one code at a time. Since shipping is free…well…that’s fine with me! I ended up ordering some brush cleaner, a brown eyeliner, and a black eyeliner.

Now, for what I actually have in my hot little hands!

I received a full-sized (But Anne, at the beginning of the post, you said it was all small sizes! I know lovely, reader. Aren’t surprises wonderful?) eyeliner brush, a small eyeliner in Brun, and an eyeshadow in Gold Coast.

Let’s take a look at how these things look on my face. I used all three of the products for this look.

Ipsy Glam Bag August 2015

{Purchased By Me}

I got my August 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag in the mail! Once again, I got my $10 worth. I’ve already used four of the five products and I love three of them! As fun as it is to find products we love, it’s also important to find ones we don’t want to buy!

I got Doll10 cream blush, Divine In-Shower Hydrator, Lord & Berry Nude Lipliner, eco-beauty night cream, and Noya natural lipstick.

In this look, I’m wearing the cheek tint, the lipliner, and the lipstick.

I found the in-shower skin hydrator to be a bit strange. I still wanted/needed to put on lotion after my shower so I’m not really sure what the point of it is. I haven’t used the night cream yet because I’m a bad, bad girl!

If you’re interested in signing up for Ipsy, make sure to use my referral link! And for a limited time there is no wait list! So get while the gettin’s good!

Mango Bunny Polish July 2015

{Purchased By Me}

This month’s Mango Bunny Polish subscription box brings us two polishes and one pack of lightening bolt decals from Polished Vino.

The first polish is Mango Bunny Polish Storms Ahead which is a gorgeous light gray holo.

Here is a shot with flash so you can see the beautiful holo-ness!

This next one is Mango Bunny Polish Bright Lightening which I swatched over black. This has gorgeous shimmers with neon glitters. Oh lalala!!

I love these polishes! I love the colors and the owners. XOXOXO!!

Starlooks Starbox July 2015

{Press Sample}

Starlooks sent me the July 2015 Customizable Starlooks Starbox! I was able to pick which cosmetic items I received as well as which gift cards. The products I chose this month are:

Lipliner in Noir

Lipgloss in Mad Crush

Blush in Rose Gold

I wore all three products in this look! I’m very happy with all of them! The eyeliner has a very smooth application and you can use a light touch and still get a dark line. The lipgloss is a gorgeous neutral color that helps add to a finished look without making you look overdone. The Rose Gold blush is a real gem! I used a light hand with it as a highlighting shade on my cheekbones and I am very happy with the end result!

The eyeliner held up well all day on the top lid but did fade out on the bottom lid (as bottom liner is apt to do).

In case you’re wondering…yes I’m still using the Schwarzkopf Ultime collection I was sent for a previous review and I still love it. My hair has never been so cooperative!! The eyeshadow I wore in this look is a mishmash of random things I’ve received in my Ipsy bags.

Glitter Daze Hotter Than the Sun

{Purchased By Me}

I got my July Daze of the Month in the mail! This month’s polish is Glitter Daze Hotter Than the Sun which is a gorgeous shimmery red.

It’s months like these that make me super happy that I signed up for this subscription!! I also got two sample vials of cuticle oil as the added bonus this month.

Ipsy July 2015

{Purchased By Me}

I got my Ipsy bag in the mail today!! If you’re signing up, you can use my referral code by clicking here. This month is another great month, even though I don’t really care for the bag itself. It’s definitely not my style. But the stuff IN the bag is pretty awesome.

Be a Bombshell lip balm in French Kiss. This has the very slightest hit of pink. I tried to swatch it on my hand for you, but you could hardly see it. So this is going in my chapstick collection!

Coolway Sea Salt Spray – I used to throw this kind of thing away, but ever since my hairdresser actually taught me how to use it, I use sea salt spray all the time! I just spray it at the roots which helps the hair keep some volume.

Vasanti Brighten Up Enzymatic Face Rejuvinator. I’m trying to be a lot better about exfoliating so this couldn’t have come at a better time!

Nude Stix eyeshadow in Gilt. This looks gorgeous and this kind of shade typically looks really great with my hazel eyes.

Pencil Sharpener – I was thisclose to buying a new one of the store so thanks to Ipsy for including one in my bag this month!

Aurora Gel Effect nail polish in 4 Alarm Fire. Obviously this is my favorite part of the bag! The color is gorgeous and the formula was easy to work with.

Are you an Ipsy subscriber? What did you get in your bag this month?

Fairy Tale Finish July 2015

{Purchased By Me}

This month’s Fairytale Finish subscription box is another awesome pair of polishes! The add-on item this month is a sample pack of a mani bomb powder. (I seriously don’t understand mani bombs. Water is the worst thing for your nails…so why does soaking them in water for 15-20 minutes seem like a good idea? I sincerely want someone to explain this to me.)

First up, we have Fairytale Finish Crushed Garnet. This is a plum jelly with a nice splattering of glitter. I used three coats to get full opacity. This one is seriously gorgeous and when the glitters catch the light – it’s amazing!

Fairytale Finish Sweet Sapphire Sky is a blue microglitter with larger purple glitters. This one is also stunning! I used three coats of this with no undies for full coverage.

I’ve really been enjoying the Fairytale Finish Endless Fairytales box so far. This is only the second month, but so far I’ve loved wearing all four polishes!

Starlooks Starbox June 2015

{Press Sample}

Starlooks sent me their June 2015 customizable Starbox. I went online prior to shipping and picked out what I wanted. I got to choose three items. Their boxes used to be a mystery (and I believe they still have that option) but being able to choose your own products ensures you have the confidence that you’ll like what you get! I picked two lipglosses and a lipliner for this month. I am super obsessed with lip products. All three products are mini-size which is great for your purse or pocket.

In this photo, I am wearing Peony and Guilty Pleasure. This is a great combo for summer as it’s light and fresh, but your lips still look like they have some healthy color.

I have been a fan of Starlooks makeup for a while so I, of course, would recommend checking out their subscription options.

GlitterDaze June 2015

{Purchased By me}

I have been a subscriber of Glitter Daze for all of 2015 and this year’s theme is outer space. June’s polish is called Glitter Daze Cosmic Fireworks and it’s a very pretty red, white, and silver topper. I used a black cream as my base because if this is supposed to be in space, it should be black, right??

This has a very nice smattering of different glitter shapes. My favorites are, of course, the stars, but it has circles and shards and tiny little pieces.

June 2015 Beauty Quartet Box

{Purchased By Me}

My June 2015 Beauty Quartet Box arrived! This is the third or fourth one I’ve received and it’s the best one so far! The theme is Grease as in the super awesome musical movie!

Dollish Polish Beauty School Dropout is a white crelly with pink glitters. I did three coats for this swatch. This one really reminds me of that scene where Frenchy sings “Beauty School Dropout”. Dollish Polish did a great job capturing the essence of that song!

Gothic Gala Lacquers Wop Bam Boom is a full coverage microglitter. This is two coats. It’s so sparkly! This is my first experience with Gothic Gala Lacquers and I have to admit that I’m impressed!

Philly Loves Lacquer Summer Lovin’ is a light pink holo. I really love this one! It might be my favorite from the box. This is two coats shown with flash so you can see the holo-ness.

Philly Loves Lacquer also contributed Had Me a Blast which is a super fun glitter topper. It has pink, black, white, and more! There is also a variety of shapes to keep the eye intrigued! If you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen a video of this combo in the sun! Shining away! And there’s even a cameo of my dog, Bandit. :)

Smokey Mountain Lacquers Better Shap Up is a frosty red. This shade is a tad Christmas-y for a summer box but I don’t really mind since I love red polish so much!

Smokey Mountain Lacquers also contributed their holo top coat. It transforms any polish into a linear holo! I show it here over Better Shape Up.

May 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag

[Purchased by Me}{Referral Links}

Good morning! I’m finally getting around to show you what I got in this month’s Ipsy bag! I’m not too thrilled with the contents this month, but I was super spoiled last month. I do think it’s worth the $10 though and I’ll remain a happy Ipsy subscriber. If you’re interest in signing up, please use my referral link by clicking here.

My favorite part of this month’s haul is the bag itself. It’s too cute!

I got some Urban Decay Lip Liner sample, UD lip gloss sample, Klorane eye patches, Bare Face Sunscreen, and Chella Eyebrow Pencil in Taupe.

I think the only thing I’ll actually use this month is the UD samples, and even then, I dislike this style of lipgloss sample. I want to be able to put it in my pocket!

While I am underwhelmed this month, I still love Ipsy and would recommend them if you’re in the market for a fun monthly subscription.

GlitterDaze Daze of the Month April 2015

{Purchased By Me}

I got my April 2015 GlitterDaze Daze of the month box in the mail!! This month, we get a shimmery holo polish and a sampling of body scrub. This month’s polish is my favorite Daze of the Month all year! It’s shimmery and holo-ey, and gorgeous! This one is called GlitterDaze Loose Lips Sink Mother Ships.

Isn’t it gorgeous?! It has so much depth that I can’t stop staring at it! I was thisclose to cancelling this subscription last month, but I will stay on board if we’re going to get more beauties like this keeper!

Ipsy Glam Bag April 2015

{Purchased by Me}

This is probably my favorite Ipsy Glam Bag of all time. If you’re interested in signing up, please use my referral link by clicking here. This month, I am thrilled with all the products in my bag!!! Funnily enough, I don’t like the bag itself…but whatever; I don’t care!

This month, I got nail polish – FINALLY!!! This is only the second time I’ve received polish -ever! The polish is Julie Damsel. I also got Mica Beauty Cosmetics Eye Primer.

The colored cosmetics this month are The Blam Nude Dude in Fit. This is a mini eyeshadow.  Next, Mullein and Sparrow tinted lip balm. It looks dark in the tin, but it doesn’t go on dark at all. And it smells rather like chocolate! Finally, Gallany lipstick in Petal. I already adore this lipstick. I’ve worn it three days in a row – every day since I got my bag! It’s so creamy and so flattering. I will absolutely be buying a full size of this when the small one runs low!

What did you get in your bag this month? Were you as happy as me?

GlitterDaze Daze of the Month – March 2015

{Purchased By Me}

I was finally able to get the March 2015 GlitterDaze Daze of the Month box from my Post Office! I think they like to hoard things from me. :) Because this one was sent so close to April Fool’s Day, GlitterDaze had the name be pretty hilarious: Uranus is Pretty. LOL!! They included alternate stickers with a less silly name: Seventh Planet from the Sun. But, I think I’m going to stick to the funny one!

I topped Uranus is Pretty over Jessica Robertson Miss Popular which was originally sent to me as a press sample. You’ll see a swatch and more information about it in an upcoming post! :)

Uranus is Pretty is a splish splash of cool toned glitters. It is quite fun and will be a delight to layer over a variety of colors!

Mango Bunny Polish Tide Me Over

{Purchased By Me}

Mango Bunny Polish offers a monthly subscription where you get a polish and other goodies each month! This month’s polish is Tide Me Over which is a lovely almost-Tiffany blue with shimmer. The box also came with a sample of nail oil and nail vinyls!

I did three coats of Tide me Over because the stains on my nails are so bad, I have to make sure you’re seeing the true color of the polish!! If your nails aren’t stained as badly as mine, then you’ll only need two coats.

Most importantly, the box also came with some candy which I am enjoying as I write this! :)

Ipsy Glam Bag March 2015

{Purchased By Me}

Another excellent bag from Ipsy! If you’re interested in signing up, please use me referral code by clicking here.

First of all, this month’s bag is absolutely adorable!! I love the spring-like cheerfulness of it.

I’m always looking for something that will help my damaged hair! I like the Big Sexy Hair brand, so I have high hopes for this little guy.

NYX, while inexpensive, has proven to be a reliable brand. This is their lip butter in Little Susie. I love lip butters because they provide moisture and an effortless swatch of color.

Marsk eyeshadow in Lucky Penny. I haven’t heard of this brand before, but golden browns tend to look good on my so I am excited to use this one!

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighting Crayon. I’m on an eternal quest to make my eyebrows look better so I’ll be using this to highlight my brown bone.

Dr Brandt Anti-Aging mattifying lotion. I already have dry skin, so this lotion is of no use to me. Typically, things that matte skin dry mine out like the Sahara Desert. I’ll probably give this one to a friend.

Overall, I’m pleased once again with my Ipsy bag. Do you subscribe? What did you get this month?
