For this quilted-style mani, I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Coral Reef. After waiting for them to dry completely, I used Konad special white and Vivid Lacquer stamping plate VL008 to get the cross-hatched white stripes. Finally, I used Color Club Abyss and a dotting tool to put a little splash of teal where the white lines intersected. What do you think?

In honor of the high stakes football game today, I thought I would represent my team with a Seahawks mani!
I used Sally Hansen Ivy League and Orly Royal Navy with a few pieces of striping tape to get this mani.
I was lucky enough to receive a box full of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polishes courtesy of Influenster.com in exchange for my honest opinion. And…to be totally honest…I’m already a huge fan of Sally Hansen so this was a great treat for me.
I received three colors:
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Red My Lips #470
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Pat on the Black #510
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Jaded #540
The brush shape for the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure is my favorite of every brush I’ve ever tried. (I own over 430 polishes!!) The square edges with the slight curve makes it very easy to get close to, but not touching the cuticle. I wish all brushes were shaped like this!
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Pat on the Black is actually a super dark purple. The formula for all three of these polishes is in between a cream and a jelly…aka a “crelly”. This one is two coats.
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Red My Lips is a crelly candy-apple red. Formula was fantastic and the color is perfect for a classic red. This is two coat.
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Jade is a crelly jade color. I did need three coats for this one due to the lightness of the color.
These polishes are a win-win-win. The color is great, the brush is the best, the formula is smooth and easy. If you paid $15+ for these polishes, you would say it’s totally worth it. But they are around $5!! I highly recommend Sally Hansen brand in general but the #CSMTKO line is very, very well done.
For this vampy mani I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Black Platinum and finished with one coat of Wet n Wild Night Prowl.
Black Platinum is a silvery black that is almost chrome like. Night Prowl is a black jelly base with purple glitters. It’s gorgeous!
This mani started with two coats of Avon Starburst, from their new holo cosmic collection.
Then, I used some tape I bought in a pack of nail art supplies at RiteAid. I did the tips using Sally Hansen Black Out. I’m pretty much obsessed with pink and black color combos so of course I’m loving my nails today!!!
Julep Teresa is a gorgeous light peachy pink with a subtle metallic finish. This is a great one to apply and leave on just as-is for a finished, put-together look without people going “oh hey! Look at your nails!”
I then put some black and white flowers over it with my dotting tool. I used Sally Hansen White On and Sally Hansen Black Out. I hope you like it!
Today I decided to feature ILNP Strawberry Creme. I did put one coat of Sally Hansen White On as undies so I wouldn’t have to do so many layers of Strawberry Creme to get my desired opaqueness.
I don’t usually like white-based manis but I have to say, I’m kinda digging this one!
Sally Hansen Calypso Blue is a great spring color to wear. It’s a nice ocean blue that looks great with almost any outfit!
This manicure is one from my archives. I did it forever ago! Time has been getting away from me (that nasty little bugger!) and my nails have been neglected.
This mani is Sally Hansen The Real Teal and the Silver Sally Hansen Crackle. I also used Orly Dazzle to do the silver tips.
I can’t remember the name of the crackle because I gave it away to a little girl that came through one of my dog training classes. Every week, she complimented me on my nails so at the end, I gave her about 10 bottles from my stash!
Here is a swatch of Revlon Sublime Strawberry. When dry, this girl is strawberry scented! So fun!
Then, to make it less plain, I added a pop of Sally Hansen Strobe Light on my ring fingers.
Happy Valentine’s Day! For a festive mani, I put on two coats of Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink. Then, using Konad Special Black and Konad Special Red, I stamped kisses and “I Love You” on my nails using plate BM02. I hope you like it!
For this mani, I used scotchtape for a patchwork effect. Polishes used were Sally Hansen Pink Boa, Sally Hansen Plum Power, and Julep Carly.
I used two coats of Pink Boa and one coat of the other two.It would look better if Carly was a little more opaque.
I was going out with some friends so I wanted a fun, french manicure for the evening. I started off with two coats of Julep Kate which is a pearlescent white. Then, two coats of Vivid Lacquer Your Princess is in Another Castle. Finally, I taped off the tips and did one coat of Sally Hansen Black Out. I got a ton of compliments!
(Obviously still working on getting my tape exactly straight on my nail! :) )
Another little gem today from Vivid Lacquer. Today I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Black out and then followed it up with two coats of Vivid Lacquer The Cake is a Lie. This has super small glitters that makes it change in different lights. Then it has bigger glitters in red and white. Gorgeous!!
For today’s mani I started off with one coat of Sally Hansen White On and put two layers of Vivid Lacquer Pick Your Portal. This was from the video game inspired collection. It kind of reminds me of birthday cake! Yum!
This is another one of those polishes that will be really fun to try over a lot of different colors.
Here’s another mani using a little gem from Vivid Lacquer. I started off with two coats of Sally Hansen Heart to Heart. Then, I did two coats of Vivid Lacquer Woo! Tangent. This one is for the “ADD” person in you. It has lots of different colors and shapes of glitter. It should look really great layered over almost any color! I picked red because it’s the holidays. :)
I think it’s awesome and the more I use Vivid Lacquer polishes, the more of them I want!
I Love, Love, LOVE this indie polish! It’s made by Vivid Lacquer and is called the Harlequin’s Adoration. This can be layered over nearly any color and will look completely different on every one! I can’t get enough of this polish! I first got it as a mini-bottle and that quickly became not enough! So I ordered a full size on Etsy.com from the maker.
Today, I decided to see what this little beauty looked like over black. So far, I like it best over fuschia so I will post that in the near future.
For this one, I used Sally Hansen Black Out. What you can’t see in the pictures is that it has tiny pink shimmers that give the polish almost a holo effect. That is the reason why I’m in love with it!
Here is Maybelline Color Show Magenta Mirage over Sally Hansen Black Out. This is a beautiful magenta that is very vivid and pigmented. I am excited to try it over a lot of different colors.
In other news, my car is having trouble starting. I hate car troubles! It’s one of those problems where you really just feel helpless and stranded! Fingers crossed that the repairs will be inexpensive!
Thanks for stopping by!
