Bling Snowman Nail Art

{Purchased by Me}

This mani starts with one coat of Pretty Serious Absence (yes! One fabulous coat!) Then, I put Sally Girl Bling Snowman on top. The effect is marvelous!

Then, I thought I would stamp a subtle design on top. I used Mundo de Unas Black and a design from Bundle Monster BM-XL209.

Peppermint Nails Fun!

Today’s mani starts with an impulse buy at the counter of Sally Beauty Supply. I saw this adorable little polish called Sally Girl Peppermint and just couldn’t help myself! I’m also pretty sure that it’s scented as peppermint but maybe my mind was playing tricks on me? I did a little stamping on top using the Bundle Monster and Lucy’s Stash collaboration plate. The stamping polish was Konad Black.

Here is a plain swatch of Sally Girl Peppermint. I did need to do three coats for full opacity. This polish perfectly captures peppermint!

Sally Girl Trapeze Artist Nail Art

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate Links}

This mani starts with three coats of Sally Girl Trapeze Artist (which was available in April at Sally Beauty Supply stores). I used Mundo de Unas Lilac and a design from Pueen Plate 61 to create the design shown below.

I usually like Sally Girl polishes but the formula on this one was really hard to work with. It was gloopy and streaky at the same time. Three coats were necessary because of its jelly base, but since it was so gloopy, three coats used up about 1/3 of the bottle. Oh well!

Here’s the design I ended up with.

Born Pretty Store Plate Y008

The Born Pretty Store sent me some more stamping plates to show you! Today I have a design from Plate Y008 to share with you! Here is a picture of the plate:

Full Flower Patterns Nail Art Stamp Template Image Plate Y008 6cm

It has an assortment of flowers to choose from. Some are just outlines and some will be fully filled in with polish. Not all the lines are etched deeply enough so there are some gaps in the design once it’s applied to the nails. It gives the design a worn vintage look, but if that’s not what you’re going for, then you will want to choose another plate.

To showcase this plate, I started with three coats of Sally Girl Fire Breather (from the April collection) and I used Mundo de Unas Black to stamp.

Thanks again to BPS for sending me these to review! You can find these supplies and more in the nail art section of the Born Pretty Store. Use code FYL91 to receive 10% off all your supplies at

Sally Girl Holiday Nail Art

Today’s mani is for both prompt’s this week in the Crumpet’s Nail Tarts Pick ‘n’ Mix Challenge. The two prompts are Chevrons and Red + Gold.

I am always surprised with how nice Sally Girl polishes are! For this simple Holiday Nail Art, I started with three coats of Sally Girl Sugar Cookie which is a golden polish with red and green glitters. Once dry, I placed chevron decals on my accent nail and used Sally Girl Red Shimmer. I like how festive and easy this holiday mani is!

Here is a plain swatch of Sally Girl Sugar Cookie for you. It really does remind me of a cookie! Great. Now I’m craving cookies!!

Neon French Tip Skittle

While I was at Sally Beauty last weekend, I saw they had a new mini’s collection for this summer. It’s four neons! They looked gorgeous in the bottle and they were only 99 cents each so I picked up all four. I was inspired to do a skittles french tip so I could merge the collection together in a single mani.

Polishes used, all from the Sally Girl Neons Collection
Sally Girl OMG (Light Pink)
Sally Girl XOXO (Purple)
Sally Girl Cool (Hot Pink)
Sally Girl Crazy (Orange)

In other news, I’m watching a new show on Hulu called “Resurrection”. I’m not totally sold on it yet. I’m only on episode four, so no spoilers in theĀ  comments, please! I’ll just say one thing: This better not be aliens. That would be stupid.
