Color Street Nail Wraps Review + Free sample for YOU!

I’ve secretly been dabbling in the world of nail wraps lately. Running multiple businesses in addition to my full-time day job has left me without a lot of time left over at the end of each day. Every nail wrap brand I’ve tried hasn’t been quite right. The main problems I’ve encountered are:

  • Weird crinkling of the wrap on the sides due to my strong curve in my nails
  • Damaged nails after removal
  • Not lying flat, so they barely last a day or two
  • Losing nail length during the ‘filing off the excess’ step

When I heard of a brand new company called Color Street, I was a little skeptical but I decided to buy one wrap just to see if it was any better than the others. I waited patiently for my pink wraps to arrive and when they did, I set them aside for about a week. LOL. Clearly, I was not too excited about yet another nail wrap.

Well….when I finally did decide to try them…holy shitballz, Batman! These are the BEST nail wraps I’ve tried in my life!

Since Color Street is made with real nail lacquer, they are really thin. This means that they actually LAY FLAT on my nails. Hallelujah!

Since Color Street is made with real nail lacquer, filing off the excess is super quick and easy. No more harsh nail files! I filed the excess off with my fine-grain glass file!!! This means I won’t lose length on my nails anymore when I wear wraps! With other wraps, I have to file so hard that I file my nail too. Not with these! Huzzah!

Color Street is made with real nail lacquer, they can be removed with your favorite nail polish remover! This means that you don’t need to spend forever slowly removing wraps or, if you’re in a rush, losing the top layers of your nail by peeling it off. (Seriously. Other wraps are a goddamn pain in the ass to remove.)color-street-nail-wraps-review color-street-nail-wraps-reviews Color-street-review

These are the most incredible nail wraps I’ve ever tried. That’s why….GULP….please don’t shoot me….I’ve started selling them. I know, I know. I don’t have time for this! But I couldn’t not sell them! They are too amazing!

I’m waiting for my new distributor packet to arrive, but in the meantime, I am giving away free samples! Free! Why? Because I know you’re going to love these wraps as much as I do. Just click here to be sent a free sample!

Vintage Cosmetic Company Review

{Press Sample}

The Vintage Cosmetic Company sent me a lovely set of their makeup tools to review for you! This company just premiered in the United States and can be found at Ulta or on their website, here.

They sent me an Eyelash Curler, a Blemish Remover, Tweezers, a Mini Manicure Kit, and a Blending Sponge. All of the products come in this cute, vintage-looking packaging and the metal is a rose-gold, when applicable.

The blemish remover is double-ended so there are two sides to it – perfect for getting the right size for your zits! :Dvintage-cosmetic-company-blemish-wand

The blending sponge is latex free and infused with vitamin E. It is super thick which means the foundation sits on top of the sponge rather than soaking in. I found this to be really nice, especially since I’ve been using hecka expensive foundation lately. (But so, so worth it!)vintage-cosmetic-company-blending-sponge

The eyelash curler is a gorgeous rose gold. It’s lightweight which was a change for me compared to my previous curler which is more heavy-duty. This one curled my lashes just as well, though, and even comes with a few replacement heads for the rubber part!  vintage-cosmetic-company-eyelash-curler

Would you believe me if I told you that I’ve never carried around an emergency nail kit??? Yep, that’s right. I’m that girl who goes around desperately asking coworkers for tools when a nail breaks. You’d think I would have learned my lesson by now, but I haven’t. Therefore, I’m extremely grateful for this! :) Especially since the cuticle pusher is one of my favorite I’ve ever tried! vintage-cosmetic-company-manicure-purse

Tweezers! Every girl needs tweezers. Heck, even every guy. My husband is stealing mine all the time! These are nice and sharp so you can get those ultra fine, pesky hairs. You know the ones.vintage-cosmetic-company-tweezers

Thanks again to the Vintage Cosmetic Company for sending these fun items my way! Make sure you look for them next time you’re in Ulta! Or, if you can’t wait that long, head over to their website here!

Pixi Skintreats Review

{Press Sample}

Pixi sent me their collection of Skintreats sprays to review for you! This is a collection of four different mists. I had already tried the Glow Mist in a previous post so I won’t go into detail about that one in this post.

Pixi Skintreats Wakeup Mist is a vitamin-boosting treatment that gives a revitalizing effect on the complexion. I love squirting this on my face after I get out of the shower in the morning. It has a citrus feel to it that really did make me feel like I was waking up.

Pixi Skintreats makeup fixing mist is an all-over setting spray. I didn’t notice that much of a difference with this one. Since I use SeneGence products now, my makeup never really needs fixing. :P

Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Mist is a very light mist that gives an instant surge of moisture to the skin. I would put this on at night after washing my face. Sometimes, I would even forget to put my ‘real’ moisturizer on. That’s how refreshing this mist is!

Overall, these are all really great sprays. You can get a set of your own at

Feature Friday: SeneDerm Polishing Exfoliator

This week’s featured product is the SeneDerm Polishing Exfoliator. I got this little tub as a bonus from SeneGence and I’ve already bought more to make sure I don’t run out!

Why I Love It:
  • Super-Fine Granules – This means it’s great for more sensitive skin. A lot of exfoliators have large granules and can feel a little scratchy. These are very fine and gentle while still doing a superb job.
  • Gentle – This exfoliator is gentle enough to use it on my lips regularly. Now, it doesn’t taste as great as a sugar scrub does, but it certainly is more gentle.
  • Great for daily use – The instructions say to use it a couple times a week but I am a goddamn rebel and I use it nearly every day. My face has yet to fall off. LOL. It makes my face oh-so-soft.
  • A little goes a long way. This is a recurring theme with SeneGence. Our products are pricey and some people get a little sticker shock. But, they are so effective that you use WAY less. I think this is the part that trips people up. You’re used to paying $20 for something that lasts about a month. This is $50 but will last about a year. It seems like a huge price difference at first until you realize it’s actually $190 cheaper than the less effective stuff! (These are estimates, obviously. But I challenge you to do your own math with your own products!)
Where to Buy:

From me, duh! Basically, you can contact me in any way. Even carrier pigeon. But, to be helpful, I’ve added a contact form at the bottom of this post. If you’d like some SeneDerm Polishing Exfoliator simply fill out the form and I’ll get you hooked up.

Pixi Skincare Review

{Press Sample}{Affiliate Links}

Pixi sent me some of their favorite skincare items to review for you! Pixi is available in stores at Target or online at Amazon. I received their Beauty Sleep Cream, Glowtion Day Dew, Glow Mist, and Eye Elixer.

There is a generous amount of product in each of the bottles. I’ve been using these for about two months now – every day and night – and I still have lots of product left. It’s definitely a good value!pixie-skintreats-review

The Glowtion Day Dew has a tiny bit of pearlescent sheen to it. This gives your skin a very nice dewey look.

The Beauty Sleep Cream is a nice, thick evening cream that leaves my skin feel super moisturized.pixi-beauty-sleep-cream

At first I liked the eye elixer. It comes with an applicator that is a metal roller ball. But, after continued use, I don’t like the applicator at all. It’s impossible to control how much product is coming out and if not enough is coming out, then the roller ball tugs on my eye a little bit. I wish it was in a regular little tub like other eye creams.

The Glow Mist is a good product, but I don’t really use things like that. I’ve never really noticed or felt a difference with them.

Thanks again to Pixi for sending these my way! I hope you will check out these and their other skincare offerings!

Sally Hansen Moisture Rehab Review

{Press Sample}

Sally Hansen sent me Sally Hansen Moisture Rehab to review for you! This is an intense serum meant to be worn over night on your nails and cuticles. Proper moisture is critical to nail health – especially if you’re trying to grow them out. (Water does not actually moisturize your nails. I’m talking about nail oil as a moisturizer.)

What I like about this serum is that it’s thicker than a regular oil. That means it’s not dripping everywhere when I put it on. It stays on the spot in. I can feel it working as it relieves my dry cuticles – especially this time of year when it’s so cold.sally-hansen-moisture-rehab-review

I’ve been keeping the bottle on my nightstand and applying it all over my tips before sleeping. It soaks in quickly so I don’t get oil on my sheets. Hooray!sally-hansen-cuticle-care

I would recommend picking up Sally Hansen Moisture Rehab next time you’re in your drugstore’s polish aisle. It’s very affordable and should be available anywhere Sally Hansen is sold.

It Cosmetics Color Infused Skincare Review

{Press Sample}

It Cosmetics sent me their Color Infused Skincare to review for you. These products are now available at Sephora! This set contains their very popular “Bye Bye” collection, which is comprised of products such as Bye Bye Undereye and Bye Bye Lines.

it-cosmetics-color-infused-skincare it-cosmetics-skincare

On the left is Bye Bye Makeup. This is a cream you put on your face and then leave for about a minute. It dissolves the makeup off and comes away clean when you wash your face. I have been loving this stuff!!! Usually, I still look like a rabid raccoon after I wash my face, but this gets off a ton of makeup.

In the back is Bye Bye Lines. Right now, I’m lucky enough to not have wrinkles, but there is one important thing for you to know about this product. It is not drying. Most anti-wrinkle serums I’ve tried make my face feel like the Sahara Desert. This one actually moisturizes! It’s well worth a try.

In the from is Bye Bye Undereye. This is a very nice, cooling, and moisturizing under eye cream.

On the right is the Anti-Aging Armour. This is a face lotion with a bit of a tint to it. it-cosmetics-bye-bye

On the left, the Heavenly Skin brush is shown. This brush really is heavenly!! I’ve been using it to apply the It Cosmetics CC Cream and it gives a gorgeous application.

Next, is the Undereye Illuminator. I like this better for my dark circles than their regular concealor because this does brighten it up a lot more, rather than just hiding my dark circles.

Bye Bye Pores is a buttery smooth primer. A little of this goes a long way. I start with a dab on each cheek and just blend it out over my nose, face, and forehead. It gives a very smooth canvas for applying CC Cream and/or foundation.

The Je Ne Sais Quois lip balm is the only product in this collection that I’m not totally in love with. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great balm, but I don’t see/feel anything that makes it standout amongst other balms. it-cosmetics-bye-bye-review

I included this silly picture of me at the hair salon because this is what my face looked like after hours and hours of teaching dog classes and sitting in a hot salon for an hour. These It Cosmetics products really hold up. I don’t feel like I need to touch up throughout the day – even on my most hectic, go-go-go days.

Schwarzkopf Creative Styles Review

{Press Sample}{Affiliate Links}

Schwarzkopf sent me their Amino Hold Creative Styles collection to review for you. This collection consists of hairspray, mousse, and gel.

The hairspray has a fast-drying formula and can really stick your hair into place without buildup. I don’t use a lot of hairspray, so this line is perfect for me – a little goes a long way!

The mousse is really great for creating hold without weighing down hair. I only wash my hair every three days and on the second and third day, I could still tell the mousse was holding. When I would re-do my hair each morning, the style would stick again. It was fabulous!

The gel is super strong and I only used it one time. I don’t have a hair cut that really calls for gel at all. I did use it to tame some of my flyaways from around my face. I found I didn’t need to use the gel and the mousse together. So, I would recommend picking the one product you like (gel vs mousse) and just buying that one.

Here is a picture from the first day I used the products. My hair had a ton of volume and it stayed like that! It was pretty impressive.

schwarzkopf-amino-hold schwarzkopf-amino-hold-review

Here are some pictures of my sister and me. My hair is three days dirty after using the Schwarzkopf Amino Hold collection. I can still get volume at the roots that stays all day – even though my hair is so dirty!

My sister also used the Schwarzkopf. Her hair is freshly washed and then she used the mousse and the hairspray. schwarzkopf-hair-review schwarzkopf-creative-styles-review

Schwarzkopf is one of my favorite hair care brands. I highly recommend checking out this collection and I appreciate Schwarzkopf sending these my way!

OGX Coconut and Argan Oil Collection

{Press Sample}

OGX Sent me their coconut collection and argan oil products to review for you. I’ve become a big fan of this brand since I’ve started reviewing for them. Each product I try is pretty great. This collection is my favorite so far because I love the smell so much. Coconut is one of my favorite smells in the whole world!

The argan oil products are fabulous. The argan oil mousse helps my hair hold its style but also does an excellent job of nourishing my hair. It’s like a two-in-one product. I usually use three products after showering – repair, protect, and style. With the argan oil mousse, I felt like I only needed the one product which is certainly more time- and cost-effective!

The argan oil is something I used for freaking everything. It’s actually almost gone! I mixed it with my body wash, I used it for shaving, I put it in my conditioner. It is a multi-tasking monster!

The surf paste was a little heavy for my fine hair, but it was really good at weighing down all the baby hairs along my temple.

If you like great hair products with a coconut smell, then this collection is for you. I’m really pleased with each product and I’m thrilled OGX sent it to me!

ColorProof Detox

{Press Sample}{Affiliate Link}

ColorProof sent me their Detox collection in the mini, “jet-set” size. I’ve used quite a few ColorProof products by now and I have to say, these are some of my favorite shampoos and conditioners. With vibrant hair color, you have to be super careful about what products you use on your hair. My hair stylist can tell when I’ve been using different things based on how much the color has faded since my last visit. Whenever I’ve been using ColorProof, she comments how vibrant my hair is. I think that’s really quite the seal of approval for ColorProof…even though she doesn’t know she’s doing it! :)

colorproof-detox colorproof-detox-review

I use the products as instructed which was to use the detox “clear it up” shampoo first. This is the one that gets all the dirt and old product out of your hair – without removing all the color. Then, use the regular shampoo and conditioner.

This trio made my hair feel really great and like I was starting fresh after each wash. Obviously, that’s how you want to feel after washing your hair, but some shampoos and conditioners just make my fine hair feel a little weighed down and like it still has product in it.

color-proof-detox-review colorproof-review color-proof-review

Thanks again to ColorProof for sending the ColorProof Detox trio my way. If you have any color in your hair, this is a fantastic brand to try.

Revive Hair Care Review

{Press Sample}

Revive sent me their hair care collection to review for you. I’ve been using this collection for about a month now.  I wanted to give it a really solid amount of time to start working. From their website:

The Reviv3 Procare system provides an optimal scalp environment for hair growth that will improve the appearance of fine, thin looking and thinning hair. It works with both natural and color-treated hair.

The shampoo and conditioner have a lovely mint scent and they tingle a bit on my scalp. (In a good way.) The Revive system made my hair feel really smooth and strong.

The first couple times, I used too much of the TREAT Micro Activ3 Treatment Spray. I could tell because my hair felt a bit weighed down. I little of this spray goes a long way. revive-hair glossy-hair

After I got used to the amount of product I needed for my hair, things got really, really good! My hair held up to curling a lot better and held the curl a lot longer. I really liked that my hair didn’t feel like I had product in it. It just felt like my normal hair, but it behaved and looked a lot healthier and a lot stronger.

How to use the Revive three step system:

  • Apply Cleanser to wet hair. Lather for 1 minute, then rinse.
  • After cleansing, distribute Moisture+Conditioner onto scalp and throughout the hair. Leave on 1-3 minutes, then rinse well.
  • Use the Micro-Activ3 Treatment by spraying close to scalp skin and apply all over; use fingertips or comb to spread evenly and do not rinse (may cause temporary redness).

I think this is a fabulous hair trio! I’m quite happy with how my hair looks and feels. I would recommend checking out the Revive system next time you’re in the market for something to bring your hair back to life! Thanks again to Revive for sending this my way!

NYC Eyebrow Products Review

{Press Sample}

NYC sent me a couple brow products to review for you! I received the NYC Showtime Clear Brow Gel and the NYC Brow Pencil from the Demi collection. NYC can be found in drugstores nationwide.

I really liked both these products. The pencil is nice and thin so you can do light, quick strokes to give the illusion of more brow hair. The clear gel holds everything in place quite nicely. It has a medium-sized brush. As I’ve mentioned before, I really prefer a small brush for my brow gels, but this one is definitely workable.

Have you tried the NYC Eyebrow Products? If so, what did you think?

It Cosmetics Superhero Eyeshadow Palette

{Press Sample}

It Cosmetics sent me their new It Cosmetics Superhero Eyeshadow Palette. I am not even going to mince words here. This is the best freaking palette I have tried in a long time. Don’t even read the rest of this post. Go buy it now (available online and at Ulta). You will not regret it. I am adamant about my love for this palette and I have used it every day since I received it.

This palette has a huge variety of eye looks you can create. You can be natural, nude, smoky, bold, etc. The possibilities are

The palette has three large highlighter shades and nine shadow shades. I LOVE that the highlighter shades are big. We use these shades the most so they should absolutely be bigger than the other shades. There is nothing worse than having a palette with no more highlighter shade left!

it-cosmetics-superhero-nudes it-cosmetics-superhero-neutrals it-cosmetics-superhero-liners

This picture is from the first day I used this palette. I’m pretty sure the first ingredient in their formula is butter because these are the smoothest, creamiest shadows I’ve ever worked with in my life. For the following look, I used only products from the palette – including the eyeliner!

it-cosmetics-eyeshadow-review it-cosmetics-superhero

This next look is a bronzy look. I have repeated this look numerous times since I first did it.

This look is more of a nude look using shades all from the nude section of the palette.

This palette is must-have for beginners and professionals alike. I can’t say enough good things about it. I am going to use the hell out of this palette!!!

Trust Fund Beauty Lipgasm

The Lipgasm line is vegan and cruelty free. They sent me the lipcolor in

It has a nice, juicy

 When worn, it’s not nearly as red as it is the tube so you can confidently wear it to work and not worry about being unprofessional. (Although I wear red lipstick to work all the time!)

I think this is a flattering color. The lipgloss was not sticky and went on smoothly. I hope I get the chance to try more of their colors going forward!

Nudestix Skin Glossing Pencil

{Press Sample}

Nudestix sent me their skin glossing pencil to review for you. This is a super smooth highlighter pencil. All NudeStix products come in their own tin case which has a mirror in the lid. They also come with their own pencil sharpener so you’ll never be at a loss for one of those!

nudestix nudestix-sking-glossing-pencil

This is a very nice color. I really like how it almost matches my skin tone. Sometimes highlighters are too white, too shimmery, or just too much in general for me. This is a really nice one that will give me a subtle look.

I used the skin glossing pencil underneath my eyebrows to give them more of a lifted look. It went on smoothly and blended well into my foundation.

I’ve always been impressed with NudeStix and this glossing pencil is no exception. If you’re in the market for a highlighter, definitely give this one a chance.

Orly Breathable – A New Line of Polish!

{Press Sample}

Orly is releasing TODAY a brand-new formula of polish. It is their Orly Breathable collection. This is an all-in-one formula so you don’t need to use a base or a topcoat. The formula contains vitamin B5, Argan Oil, and Vitamin C to help strengthen and grow nails.

The new Orly Breathable collection is available in 18 shades.

orly-breathable-reviews orly-breathable-collection

I was sent two shades from the collection so I can let you know how these worked for me!

The first shade is Orly Barely There. This is a super-duper light pink. As instructed, I did not use a basecoat. The first coat of polish was patchy and kind of had these weird bubbles where polish was missing. To be honest, I was pretty darn concerned about the formula at this point.

On the second coat, everything evened out. Phew! orly-barely-there orly-breathable

It took longer to dry than when I use an ultra-fast drying topcoat. But once it dried, it looked and felt like normal polish. It also lasted about as long as regular polish. I typically change my polish every day and this one was changed after one day as well. There was a tiny amount of tip wear – nothing that you’d really notice unless you were looking.

Orly Take a Break is a nice creamy purple.

orly-take-a-break orly-take-a-break-swatch

I know that I’m going to be on the lookout for this new formula wherever Orly polishes are sold. It’s kinda nice not having to worry about a base and topcoat. I like the efficiency and quickness of this – especially since I have less and less time to do my nails these days!

Veil Cosmetic Complexion Fix

{Press Sample}

Veil Cosmetics sent me their Complexion Fix brush to test and review for you. This can be used as a corrector, concealer, or highlighter! Veil Cosmetics was started by a makeup artist named Sebastien Tardif who has a passion for a fresh take on weightless, superior makeup.

Veil’s mission is to reveal gorgeous skin, not mask it and does this through multi-tasking skin care cosmetics.

veil-highlighter veil-concealer veil-complexion-correcter-review

I used the brush to tab on the Complexion Fix where I usually apply concealer. I do this step after I have applied a BB creme and my liquid foundation (using a Beauty Blender).

The Veil Complexion Fix has a very thin, almost runny but not quite, formula. I am used to heavier concealers to mask my dark circles. I was actually a bit skeptical this formula would work for me at all.

I was rather surprised that the Veil product could do a decent job of covering up my dark circles. I also used it on top of a few acne scars that I have.

Overall, this is a great lightweight product. It works a lot harder than most lightweight products I’ve tried. It’s definitely worth a try if you like a lightweight makeup even though you might have harder-to-cover blemishes.

This comes in 12 different colors and is oil-free and hypoallergenic. It’s water based and paraben free.

Arbonne Brow Products Review

{Press Sample}

Arbonne sent me two of their brow products to review for you! I received the Shape It Up Brow Pencil in medium brown and the Shape It Up Tinted Brow Cream in Medium Brown.

arbonne-brow-review arbonne-reviews

The lightweight, flexible cream brushes onto brows easily. You will want to ensure you have a great brow shape already. You can’t really create a shape with this product; it really just enhances the color of what’s already there. I’ve been going regularly to the Benefit Brow Bar so luckily I don’t look like a total mountain man with my brows. arbonne-tinted-brow-cream

The brow pencil glides on easily and smoothly. You can create strong or soft brown lines with this pencil. One end is a brow brush so you can blend it and pull the pencil through your brow hairs. arbonne-brow-pencil arbonne-brow-pencil-review

I’ve always had trouble with my brows. The hairs are very thin and sparse so it’s easy for my brows to look drawn-on or balding or just plain bad.

This is the first day I used the Arbonne brow products. I used the pencil and the cream together. I think my brows look ok. I’d like a little more definition and eveness.

Here’s another day of using the Arbonne pencil. This time, I skipped the cream. I think my brows look better here, although I can always work on my technique. arbonne-brow-pencil-reviews

Even though both products are called medium brown, the gel is much darker than the pencil. If you want the colors to match, keep that in mind when you’re purchasing.

Arbonne started in Switzerland in 1975 and came to the US in 1980. They have numerous personal care products in addition to their new brow products. Visit for more info.

NudeStix Gel Balm Review

{Press Sample}

NudeStix sent me three of their new gel balms to review for you! These are available at I was sent three colors: Haven, Rebel, and Pulse.

Each gel balm can be used as a cheek or a lip color. They come in these little storage tins that have a pencil sharpener and a mirror! Perfect!

(PS It’s super hard to take a picture of a mirror without showing something in the reflection. LOL)

nudestix-gel-balm-review nudestix-review

Here are three swatches from left to right: Haven, Rebel, and Pulse. For the first time ever, I didn’t crop out my tattoo. :) So here is my wrist tattoo for your viewing pleasure. My sister has a matching one.

Nudestix Pulse is a nice berry color. I used all three of these on my lips and not as cheek colors because I have blushes up the wazoo and I don’t like mixing lip and cheek products.

Here I am wearing Nudestic Rebel. It’s a light pink.

Finally, here I am sporting NudeStix Haven. This is a very nude color. I don’t think I look really great with nude lipsticks so I probably won’t get a lot of wear out of this one.

All three of these were very soft and creamy to apply. The colors on my lips don’t really match the colors on the labels of the products. They run on the light side. So if you’re just looking at the packaging, you’ll want to pick a shade that seems like it might be darker than what you usually get.

The OGX O2 Collection

{Press Sample}{Affiliate Link}

OGX sent me their O2 collection to review for you. This collection contains shampoo, conditioner, and a volumizing spray.

The shampoo and conditioner smell fantastic. I am disappointed that the shampoo isn’t sulfate-free, however. I had to test this collection out the week before I was getting my hair re-dyed since sulfates strip out vivid hair color. Other than that, I think these are great products.

The OGX O2 Collection made my hair feel soft and fluffy. It also seemed to help maintain volume throughout the day.

Colleen Rothschild Skincare Review

{Press Sample}

Colleen Rothschild sent me their cleansing balm and renewal cream to review for you.

The cleansing balm comes in a jar and has a consistency similar to lip balm.colleen-rothschild-cleansing-balm

It also comes with a muslin cloth. The instructions say to apply the balm to your face, then get the muslin cloth wet with warm water. Place the muslin cloth on your face for a mini-facial. colleen-rothschild-cleansing-balm-review

The renewal cream doesn’t have any special instructions – it’s a pretty standard moisturizer. colleen-rothschild-sheer-renewal-cream

The balm smells really nice and did a decent job of getting my makeup off. I really enjoyed letting it sit for a moment with the warm muslin cloth on top. It was very relaxing!

My skin felt softer and smoother after using the balm and the renewal creme. colleen-rothschild-cleansing-balm-reviews

It could have done a better job getting my eye makeup off. However, my eye liner is notoriously difficult to remove so it’s a lofty goal for any face cleanser to accomplish.

Michael Todd Soniclear Review

{Press Sample}

Michael Todd sent me their Soniclear Petite device to review for you. This is a battery-operated face brush. The kit also comes with the Michael Todd cleansing milk.

The brushes stay clean and fresh for 6 months before needing to be replaced! This Soniclear has a timer embedded so you know when it’s time to move to the next section of your face. It also has three speeds so you can get the right feel for your skin. Plus, it’s cordless and waterproof so you can use it in the shower.michael-todd-soniclear-petite

I prefer using it in the shower since it does splash onto the bathroom counter when you use it over the sink.

This little guy gets my face super  clean. This is the first time in my makeup-wearing life where there aren’t remnants of foundation on my face towel! It doesn’t get all my makeup off since I don’t put the brush right on my eye, but it scrubs off everything else! My face is pretty happy about that.

I have sensitive skin so I’m pretty cautious about what I use on my face. The bristles in the Michael Todd SoniClear are quite soft so they don’t irritate my skin. Hooray!

I really enjoy using this. It is going to be in my beauty-arsenal permanently!michael-todd-soniclear-review

Pro Beauty Tools Flat Iron Review

Pro Beauty Tools sent me their flat iron to review for you! The flat iron is 1″ wide. It straightens, adds shine, and reduces frizz. I especially like the audible been indicator that lets me know when the desired heat temp is met (up to 450F).

Pro Beauty Tools has centered their brand on providing salon results in a retail setting. They offer top quality styling tools at wallet-friendly prices. This particular flat iron retails for $39.99 at Target.

pro-beauty-tools-flat-iron pro-beauty-tools-flat-iron-review

I think the Pro Beauty Tools flat iron did a really decent job at reducing frizz. My hair can get pretty frizzy because of all the abuse I put it through, but this flat iron tamed it right now.

For 40 bucks, I would say this is a flat iron to consider. If you’re in the market for a new one, this might be the one for you.

I know lots of people get super cute curls with their flat irons. I’m just not that talented. I wish I was!! My sister is great at it. Too bad she doesn’t live near me or else I’d make her review the flat iron too. ;)

Thanks for reading my Pro Beauty Tools Flat Iron Review and thanks again to Pro Beauty for sending the flat iron my way!

 I was sent the OGX Bamboo Fiber-full Hair Care collection to review for you! This collection comes with a shampoo, conditioner, root-lift spray, and a fiber cream.ogx-bamboo-fiber-full-hair-care

First off, this collection smells amazing! Smell isn’t the #1 thing I look for in hair care, but it sure is a super-great bonus when something smells delightful!

The OGX Bamboo Fiber-full Hair Care products made my hair feel very smooth. The root lift spray didn’t give me as much lift as I normally like, but it surely didn’t leave my hair flat, either!

The products helped my hair maintain nice curls throughout the day.

The products also helped keep my hair nice and fluffy when I didn’t curl it.

If you are interested in helping your hair get back some of its strength, then I would recommend trying the OGX Bamboo Fiber-full Hair Care collection. Thanks again for OGX for sending this my way!

The Easiest Way to Travel with Perfume – Travalo!

{Press Sample}

Travalo sent me their Classic HD perfume travel bottle to show you. The Travalo is a 5ml fragrance spray bottle that is approved by the TSA. It’s compatable with any of your existing perfume bottles and is super-duper easy to fill up. Plus, the Classic HD model is compatible with their other stylized bottles meaning you can mix and match!

Now, get ready to try and be mature because the bottle does look like a device that is meant for female self pleasure. Since this little guy doesn’t take batteries, you can rest assured that it can’t be used in that manner. :P

The refill instructions are easy to follow and even easier to do. Simply pull the cap off your bottle of perfume and stick the end of the Travalo over the tip of the bottle. Basically, the Travalo is temporarily replacing the the little squirter cap.

Then, pump the Travalo on top of the bottle until you have filled it up. Replace the little squirter cap on your perfume and you’re done! It seriously took me like 5 seconds. It was very easy.

You can now see in the little tube that there is perfume in my Travalo.

Then, just take the lid off the other end and you have a perfect sized little perfume bottle! It’s great for travelling!

I would recommend this little guy because it’s so easy to use and is a great way to travel with your perfume. Just do me one favor, ok? Please don’t wear perfume on the day you’re flying. Nobody likes to sit next to someone wearing perfume. ;)
