Holo French Tips

{Purchased By Me}

I decided to take a little break from stamping and I did a french tips mani using scotch tape as my guide. I used KB Shimmer Young Thing and Nicole by OPI Pretty in Plum.

Purple and Gold Striping Tape Nail Art

Today’s mani is the day where I get to pose with awkward bottles! Hooray! Awkwardness! For this mani, I used Nicole by OPI Feeling Very Cherry which I got in last month’s Ipsy bag. I also used Ciate Ladylike Luxe which I received in a polish swap on Facebook.

First, let’s look at some plain swatches of these two fall beauties.

Ciate Ladylike Luxe is a shimmery gold shade. This is two coats. I’m not sure I 100% like this gold on me, but the quality is fantastic.

Nicole by OPI Feeling Very Cherry looks black, but it’s actually a suuuuuuuupeeeeerrrr dark purple. And it’s perfect for this time of year! This is two coats.

And now let’s look at some striping tape art!

Holo Stamping Nail Art for Golden Oldies Thursday

Happy Thursday, dear readers!! Today’s prompt for Golden Oldies Thursday is “Black Base”. It was hard to find one that I haven’t used in a year! I use black all the time! I finally settled on Nicole by OPI A-Nise Treat from last year’s Gumdrops collection. I can actually still find these in stores, so if you like textures, be sure to check out your local drugstore or here on Amazon. As a two-fer I’m also using this mani for the stamping plate challenge I’m participating in. I used Color Club Harp On It for stamping with My Online Shop Plate MJXII. I started with two coats of A-Nise Treat, let it dry, and then stamped. I wish the design had thinner lines so you could see more of the base coat.

Vivid Lacquer Stamping for GOT – Yellow

Happy Thursday, everyone! Boy oh boy has it been hot here!!! Today’s prompt is yellow. I have to be honest, I totally hate yellow polish. In my collection of 750, I have like 5 yellow polishes. Seriously. I just can’t stand it. One yellow polish that I can stand is Nicole by OPI Lemon Lolly from last year’s Gumdrops collection. This is a sparkly textured yellow. I love it because it’s sparkly. :D I started with two coats of Lemon Lolly.

Nicole by OPI Stained Glass Mani

For this week’s tri-polish challenge, I decided to select three textures that are in line with the color theme: Purple, Red, and Green. I’m in love with the Nicole by  OPI Gumdrops collection so I picked My Cherry Armour, That’s What I Mint, and Blue-Berry Sweet On You. I started with striping tape on the nail and then filled in the different colors. I then used a nail art brush and Sinful Colors Black on Black to fill in the lines to create a stained glass effect.

Nicole by OPI Gumdrops Surprise Part 3!

I thought I had already done all the Nicole by OPI Gumdrop posts. The collection is 6 main polishes and then 2 that are only available in limited locations. I did the six main ones here and here. Then, I was at Target this weekend and saw this beautiful display with the 2 more rare gumdrops! I just had to get them, of course! They are That’s What I Mint and Lemon Lolly.

Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles

This is two coats of Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles over Lumpy Space Princess. If I wanted to do three coats of Sparkles, I probably wouldn’t have needed an underwear coat. Also, if you match the under polish better (like using a silver or teal) then you could probably just do one coat of the Sparkles. It’s very versatile!

Nicole by OPI Gumdrops Part 2

Here is the second half of the swatches for the Nicole by OPI Gumdrops collection. You can see the first three here.

Candy is Dandy: Baby pink with bigger glitters. This is the only one in the collection that has bigger glitters.

My Cherry Amour: A juicy red-pink

A-Nise Treat: Black

My absolute favorite of all six is Cherry Amour but I really love all of them! I’m so glad I found them!!

Nicole by OPI Gumdrops Collection Part 1

The Nicole by OPI Gumdrops Collection was at my local grocery store this weekend so I wanted to pick some up. I haven’t tried any textured polishes yet because I’m just that behind the times. ;)

First, I got Blue-Berry Sweet on You, Cinna-Man of My Dreams, and I Lilac Gumdrops. After I wore Blue-Berry Sweet on You, I totally fell in love and drove around looking for more! I was able to find My Cherry Armour, A-Nise Treat, and Candy is Dandy. Hooray!

I am totally in love. The finish is awesomely cool, the colors are amazing, and they are super sparkly! OMG! Must have!

Blue-Berry Sweet on You: A periwinkle blue

Cinna-Man of My Dreams: Rusty REd

I Lilac Gumdrops: Light Purple

I hope you like these beauties as much as I do! I’ll post swatches of the other three later this week.
