Ipsy Glam Bag June 2014

I received my Ipsy Glam Bag June 2014 in the mail today! Hooray for mail! If you’re planning to sign up for Ipsy, I would love it if you would use my referral link by clicking here. I simply earn points toward extra products in future glam bags. :) So you’d be doin’ me a solid.

I like this bag much better than last month’s bag. I’m not normally disappointed so last month was an exception. This month, they are back on track with me. :)

The bag itself this month is gorgeous. Although, I will admit that I have no idea what to do with this many small cosmetics bags. I just have a pile of them in my polish storage drawers!

Here’s the group photo of all five products from my bag this month.

Ipsy-Glam-Bag

And here are the individual shots:

First, I got Skinn by Dimitry James Olive & Enzyme Cleanser. You’re supposed to apply all overy our face and neck then rinse. You can also leave it on for 5-10 minutes to use as a deep cleansing mask.

Skinn-Olive-and-Enzyme-Cleanser

Next, NYX Apple Studel Butter Gloss. This smells fairly good, but not at all like apple strudel. LOL. The color is perfect for me and I’m excited to have this. This is the exact kind of product that makes me excited to be an Ipsy subscriber.

NYX-Apple-Strudel-Gloss

NickaK Shimmer Eyeliner. This is a gorgeous color. I am definitely excited to try it. Again, another great product to try from Ipsy.

Nickak-Shimmer-Eyeliner

Marc Anthony Beach Spray. This is the only product that I’m not excited about. I really hate hair products and I’ve tried a number of “beach waves” products and they always make my hair look assier than usual. I will be giving this away to someone. Just don’t know who yet! :)

Marc-Anthony-Beach-Spray

Be a Bombshell Lash Out Mascara. Yes! I love their eyeliner and lipgloss (both of which I’ve received from Ipsy) so I’m thrilled to get the mascara!

I am VERY happy with my Glam Bag this month! It’s value is way more than the $10 charge each month.

Ipsy MyGlam Bag May 2014

I received my Ipsy MyGlam Bag May 2014 in the mail. I have to say, this is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed. :( Usually, I’m super excited for 4-5 of the products but this time, I’m barely interested in 1-2. I’ve been a subscriber for 18+ months so I’m going to continue to look forward to Ipsy bags, despite this month’s disappointment.

If you’re interested in signing up for Ipsy, I would love it if you used my referral link by clicking here.

This month’s bag is pretty cute and definitely fits the “Fresh Picks” theme.

Glam-Bag-May-2014

Ev-Nye Therapy Session Hair Mask. This is one that I’m mildly interested in. I just don’t really like hair products in general. I have SUCH thin hair that anything can easily weight it down.

eva-nye-conditioner

Hang Ten Sunscreen.  Yeah….So not only do I live in the NW where we rarely see sun to begin with….I’m also more of an “inside girl”. Sure, I’ll crack a window or something on occasion, but I’m busy painting my nails! Inside! :D Hang-Ten-Sunscreen

Left-Pacifica Eyeshadow Duo. This one I’m kinda interested in, but I have a TON of brown/neutral eyeshadows so it’s just not something I need in my collection.

Right-Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer. As  I mentioned above, I rarely go outside. This means I’m super pale. You might be thinking, “Sounds like bronzer would be perfect for you!” The problem is that I’m SO pale that bronzer looks totally stupid on me. So I might try this, but it’s likely going to be way too dark. Ipsy-May-2014

Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water. I’ve never understood this whole ‘refreshing your face with water’ schtick. It just ruins my makeup! And doesn’t really do much for me refresher-wise. So I don’t even want to try this. I’ve tried similar products and hated them.Makeup-Subscription

So this month was a bit of a disappointment. I do look forward to next month’s bag. Hopefully, they will turn it around.

Ipsy MyGlam Bag April 2014

Today my mailman brought me my April glam bag! Hooray!! Ipsy is one of the best monthly subscriptions, in my opinion. If you’re interested in joining, you can use my referral link by clicking here.

This month, I got 5 items, two of which are full-sized. I also got a lot of high-end brands. I don’t know how Ipsy negotiates these bags, but they do a fantastic job!! This month’s theme is “beauty rocks” and I couldn’t agree more! ;)

MyGlam-Bag-April-2014

First up, we have Cailyn Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm in Apple Pink. I think this color is gorgeous! Also, I think that the design of the packaging is cool but it does take up a lot of room. This product is full-sized.

I also received a reasonably sized trial version of Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion. I’ve actually used this product before and really liked it so I’m excited to get another one.

Dr-Brandt-Microdermabrasion

I don’t know how Ipsy gets Urban Decay to submit so many things to the Glam Bag, but I’m so glad they do! I got a trial sized eyeliner in Black Velvet. I can’t wait to try this one! I love Urban Decay!!

Urban-Decay-Black-Velvet

Then I got a St. Tropez gradual tan anti-aging lotion in a trial size. I’m one of the rare ladies that does not actually like St. Tropez. I might try and use this product or I might just admit I don’t like it and give it to a friend.

St-Tropez

Pop Goes the Shadow Eyeshadow in Champagne. This is a full-sized version. It seemed to go on smoothly and is a great color! A girl can never have too many highlighter shades of shadow!

What do you think? Have you tried Ipsy yet? I have been a member for almost two years now and I think there has only been one bag that I was even mildly disappointed in. They do such a great job!!!

Ipsy MyGlam Bag March 2014

It’s here! It’s here! My Ipsy March 2014 Glam Bag is here! I love this day of the month. :D To see past Glam Bags, click here.

As always, this month’s bag is well worth the $10 pricetag. If you’re interested in signing up for Ipsy, please use my referral link by clicking here.

First of all, the bag is super cute this month!

March 2014 My Glam Bag

We got four items this month, two of which are full sized. :D

Ipsy My Glam Bag March 2014

Ok, let’s break it down.

Bare Mineral Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready. This color is gorgeous! It’s going to look fantastic and will probably be one of my go-to lipsticks. This is a trial size, but a very generous trial.

Bare Minerals Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready

Be a Bombshell Eyeshadow Palette in Bora Bora. This is a pretty palette but isn’t really my style color. This is one of the full-sized items.

Pacifica Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter. This smells delightful! This is a trial-sized so I will probably use it as a hand lotion in my purse.

Pacifica Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter

Chella Eyeliner in Indigo Blue. This is full-sized. This color is super rich and gorgeous. Also, I can’t get it off my hand! LOL. I’ve been rubbing and rubbing and it has faded a little, but I fear I’m going to have blue lines on my hand all night!

Ipsy MyGlam Bag February 2014

My February 2014 Ipsy MyGlam bag is here! As always, this bag is awesome and well worth the $10 pricetag. I don’t know how they pack so much value into a $10/month subscription!!

If you’re interested in joining Ipsy, please use my referral code by clicking here.

Don’t forget to enter my giveaway for this month by going here.

I love the bag this month. Hot pink is always my thing. :)

Here are all the products together. See?? See what a great deal this is??? At least two of them (the Zoya and the City Color) are full sized! What the what? The Zoya itself pays for the bag! I am one happy camper.

Zoya in Odette. I’m sure you will see a mani featuring this color in the near future.

City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon.

Pop Beauty Lipgloss in Peony Petal. The picture looks slightly darker than it does in real life. IRL this is more of a rose instead of a berry like the picture shows.

NuMe Hair Mask.

Eyetini (sub-brand of Nailtini) eye tint in Spiced Rum. I am excited to try this. I like the Nailtini polishes so it will be nice to try something from their makeup line.

What a great value! I’m always very happy with my Glam Bag from Ipsy and this month is no exception.

January 2014 Ipsy MyGlam Bag

Well my Ipsy January 2014 bag is here! Hooray! This is still one of the strongest subscription services out there. Ipsy is consistently good.

If you’re interested in joining, please use my referral link by clicking here.

Cute bag! I like all the product silhouettes!

All the products together like one big happy family.

Sexy Hair Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner. I like this brand so I’m excited to try this product of theirs!

LeeAnni Eco 3 in 1 revolution. Toner, serum, and moisturizer in one! We’ll see… I am hesitant of products that try to be too many things at once. But I will give this the good college try!

Nourish Organic Lightweight Moisturizing Face Lotion. I love this sized sample. It gives you enough product to actually try it!

Mica Beauty Tinted Lip Balm. This color is gorgeous. I think it will be flattering on me. I’m not a huge fan of lip products where you have to stick your finger in. That just seems unsanitary to me! Also, with tinted ones, you get pink all over your fingers! So, while I’m excited for this one, I also wish the packaging was different.

Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in the color Penny. This went on very smoothly. I’ve also washed my hands since and there is still a faint glisten of color which I think is a good omen for its wearability.

Another great bag from Ipsy! How do they do it???

Ipsy MyGlam Bag December 2013

I received my December 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag in the mail this weekend.

If you’re interested in joining, please use my referral link by clicking here.

I received 5 items this month.

NYX Lipstick in Cream

Pop Eyeshadow Trio in Smokin’ Hot

Andrea Demi 120 Eyelashes

Be a Bombshell everything stick in Girl Crush

Nickak New York Polish in an unnamed color.

As always, I feel that the g am bag is a great deal. I got all of this for $10!

Ipsy November 2013 MyGlam Glam Bag

As usual, this month’s Glam Bag was amazing! This is well worth the $10/month I pay!

If you’re interested in joining Ipsy, please use my referral link by clicking here.

This month, I received 6 items! Normally, it’s 5, so I was pretty happy. Not only that, but I like all of them!

Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow in Aphrodite

This color payoff is awesome. I barely pressed down on the shadow and a ton came off!

be a bombshell lip crayon in Hot Damn. In the tube, this looks like it’s going to be a red color, but it’s much more of a fuchsia when I swatched it on my hand.

em lipstick in Showstopper. This is the new cosmetics line owned and launched by Michelle Phan, who also owns Ipsy. I’m glad she finally put some of her own brand in the bags! This is a light, Barbie pink color. It went on smoothly and seemed to have good color payoff. (It’s hard to tell with such a light color to start with.)

Starlooks eye pencil in Topaz. I expected this to come off more green based on the name, but it is a true silver. It did not go on smoothly. I had to swipe the pencil back and forth on my hand to get the swatch you see below.

Pixi Bronzer. I didn’t swatch this one because I’m hoping to trade it on Facebook for something else. I don’t have anything against Pixi, I just have a ton of bronzers already!

Nailtini polish in Champagne. This looks like a gorgeous rosy color. I can’t wait to try it!

See? What a great bag this month!!

Ipsy October 2013 Glam Bag

My Ipsy October 2013 Glam Bag arrived today and I’m really happy with the products I got this month!

I played with these pictures every which way and Blogger tries to be helpful by flipping them. ARGH! If anyone knows how to keep Blogger from doing this, I would love to know!

Full Sized Zoya in Mason. Looks like a great shimmery purple.

Buxom Gloss in Dolly. I didn’t open it because I have a ton of lipgloss so I’m going to try and swap this on a Facebook group for something else.

Delectables Hand Cream in Strawberry and Cream. This smells amazing!

Big Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel. I really hate hair products. However, I always give them a fair shot so I’ll see what this guy has to offer tomorrow morning.

h2o Moisturizer. I’ve never even heard of this brand so I’m excited to try it and see what it’s all about.

Ipsy MyGlam Bag September 2013

Another great bag from Ipsy! I’m always happy with them! If you’re going to join, please use my referral link by clicking here.

NYX Eyeshadow in Sparkle White. I’m really happy to have another highlighter shade! These go so fast!

Elizabeth Mott It’s So Big! Mascara. I’m always up for trying to find my next favorite mascara!

Starlooks Eye Pencil in Obsidian. I still am confused about Starlooks teaming up with the competition but it’s ok because I love the brand!

John Freida Full Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. I hope this does what it says because my bleached hair could use the help!

I totally feel like I got my money’s worth again this month. Ipsy has been doing a fantastic job!!

Ipsy MyGlam Bag August 2013

Another fantastic bag from Ipsy! The bag itself is my all time favorite so far, too. :)
If you’re interested in joining Ipsy, please use my referral link by clicking here.

See…cute bag!!

 From left to right:
Michael Todd Pumpkin Nutrient Rich Facial Mask
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
Pixi Beauty Lash Booster Mascara in Black
MicaBeauty Eye Shadow in Bronze
Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in 69

I am thrilled that I got the Urban Decay lipstick. I have really, really been wanting to try it. I do wear reds but I do wish I’d gotten something a little more versatile. Either way, it will let me know if I want to spend some money on new lipstick! :)

Ipsy MyGlam Bag July 2013

I finally got my Ipsy My Glam Bag July 2013. This is one of my favorite subscription services. If you’re interested in joining Ipsy, please use my referral link by clicking here.

BH Cosmetics California Collection Eyeshadow Sample. The colors are Hollywood (dark purple), San Francisco (bronze), and Malibu (golden). These are very pretty shades and I’m excited to try them!

Coola Mineral Sunscreen. I don’t go out in the sun that often (not that there’s much chance to in the Pacific NW) but it’s good to have a little on hand!

POP Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in Coral Crush. The color payout seems good and it’s a pretty color, too!

Nailtini in Mai Tai. Ooo la la! More nail polish! It makes a girl’s heart sing. ;)

Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray Conditioning & Texturizing Spray. This smells wonderful. It does remind me of the beach! I sprayed it on dry hair and it didn’t do anything for me. :( I’ll probably try it on wet hair this weekend and see what happens…

Ipsy My Glam Bag June 2013 (Finally!)

I feel like it took my Ipsy bag foreeever to get here this month! Other people were getting theirs days and days ago! But, my mailman finally brought it to my door.

As always. this is a great bag and well worth the $10. There are some things in here that I won’t use, but I can still appreciate the value!

The theme this month is “on the wild side” which tells you that everything is going to be a little more daring than usual.

First, NYX Mosaic Powder. This is going to be great. I can tell already. ;) Thanks to Ipsy, I already know that I like the brand and I think these brown tones will be great for summer.

Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tickle Me Pink. Honestly, I was surprised when I saw Starlooks was going to be in this bag. They have their own makeup sub called the Starbox. I guess cross-promotion can’t hurt Starlooks, but I was surprised that Ipsy would put a direct competitor in their bag. But great for us! :)

JCat Eyelashes. These are pretty long! I may wear them to a wedding I’m going to this summer but I won’t get much use out of these. Cool, though!

J Cat Sparkling Cream Palettte. Ok. This one is a little weird. This is like super mega glitter. Like I’m going to a middle school dance in the 90’s glitter. I won’t be using this. The texture is strange…creamy, yes. Almost like a lip palette. And the color payoff is good…check out the swatches below. The glitter really packs a punch! But when am I really going to use this? Answer: Never. But it’s fun to see!

Cailyn Gel Eyeliner in Purple. I’m a huge fan of gel eyeliners so I’m excited to try this one. The packaging is strange but unique. The lid twists off and you can pull out a brush! The only thing I don’t like about the packaging is that it’s so big! It’s going to be hard to find a spot for it in my collection because of the size.

If you are interested in getting the Glam Bag, please use my referral link by clicking here.

Ipsy MyGlam Bag May 2013

The mailman (finally) brought my Ipsy bag for May! This isn’t my favorite bag. Not because of the products I received, but because of the colors I got in my specific bag. I saw other bags online that had better colors for me, but I still love Ipsy!

If you’re interested in joining Ipsy, please use my referral link: http://www.ipsy.com/?refer=u-h0511x0oh5h51e92
Thanks!

Yaby Concealer in buff. In the package, this looks like it’s going to be a good color for me.

Juice Beauty gloss in Fig. This smells great! It smells sweet…I want to say like vanilla? Also, the color looks great!

Mirabella lipstick in Pixie. I am NOT digging this orange color. Also, when I swatched it on my hand below, it went on very roughly. I could feel it tugging at my hand so I can’t image what it would do to my lips!

Zoya Julie. Full size! Yay! I love polish! This is a lavender with shimmers. I’m sure you’ll see a swatch of it on here someday. ;)

St. Tropez Instant Glow Body Lotion. St. Tropez has great reviews but it’s usually too dark for me. I’ll give this the good college try, though!

Ipsy MyGlam Bag April 2013

I got this month’s Ipsy MyGlam bag in the mail today. This month’s theme is “pretty in pink”. There are three full sized items and one sample sized item. I’m happy with the product selection, although my blush exploded everywhere! I’ve emailed Ipsy and they are usually pretty good at sending replacement products so I’m not even really mad it happened.

We got a Station Nail Polish. My color is Love at First Byte. It’s a neutral peachy color. Then a Mica Beauty Cosmetics shimmer powder in earth. On the right we have BigSexyHair Powder Play. I’ve always liked Aveda’s styling powder, so it will be interesting to compare.

And here is my poor, sad little blush. I’d tell you what color it is, but I’m afraid to turn it over! The brand is Be a Bombshell cosmetics. In past bags, we’ve received a lip gloss, which I freakin’ loved, and a mascara, which I did not. I hope that my replacement blush comes soon!

March 2013 Ipsy MyGlam Glam Bag

Ipsy does it again! I’m totally in love with their service. This month’s Glam Bag has awesome products. For only $10!

First, we got a GlamRX case that is magnetic on the bottom. Perfect for storing the two Yaby eyeshadows we received in addition to some eyeshadows received in previous bags! :)

A pack of LA Fresh Makeup Remover Wipes. This is a must in any girl’s emergency makeup kit! I’m very happy to have received these.

Finally, we got Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist. Perfect timing since the warm summer days are just around the corner!

Ipsy MyGlam Bag February 2013

As usual, the Ipsy MyGlam bag is a great value this month. I won’t say it’s my favorite month ever, but they did a great job.
Here’s what we got:

Coastel Scents Mini Shadows. These are about the size of my ring fingernail. The colors are pretty! They aren’t ones I’d normally try but that’s the whole point of these makeup subscriptions, right?

Lash card mascara shields. Do people really have that hard of a time applying mascara?? I have never had an issue! I kinda think this is a ridiculous product!

Pixi Flawless and Poreless Primer. I’m always on a quest to find the next best primer!

Pop Mascara. I have never heard of this brand so I’m excited to try something new.

Mica Gel Eyeliner. This is the product I’m most excited about. I love a new eyeliner!

Ipsy MyGlam Bag January 2013

Ipsy (formerly known as My Glam) is far and above my favorite subscription service. I always have at least one item I’m thrilled to try and I always, always, always feel like I got my money’s worth.

In this month’s bag, I’m really excited about everything!
Here we go!

Here’s a shot of everything. This month’s actual bag was a plain black one. I like that it’s bigger than the ones we’ve received in the past.

Nailtini Frappe. This looks like it will be an off-white, lightish pink guy. I can’t wait to swatch it for you!

Big Sexy Hair Hairspray. This is a great size for a good, multi-week trial. They’re not giving you wussy samples over at Ipsy!

Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter.  I can’t even describe how wonderful this smells. Think orange creamsicle!

Josie Maran Argan Oil for hair. If I had to rank them, this is the item I’m least excited about. The only reason is that I have like 12 hair oil samples and I’ll never be able to use them up!

SoHo London Concealor Brush. Who doesn’t need more brushes?! Ipsy received some flack because they recently had another SoHo London brush and I guess you can get this brand at Wal-Mart and other drug stores. But guess what? That one is one of my favorite go-to brushes. So, basically they saved me a trip to the store. Thanks, Ipsy! :)
