Purple and Black Nail Art

{Purchased By Me}

This mani starts with two coats of Sally Hansen Street Flair. Once dry, I taped off two tips and painted ManGlaze Matte is Murder to make french tips. On the other nails, I used stencils from Polished Vino to create the cross hatch design. It got a little messed up in between some of the parts but I actually really like the concept behind this design.

Pink and White Candy Stripes

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate Links}

This candy-inspired look starts with two coats of OPI Alpine Snow. I used chevron decals from Polished Vino and ManGlaze F*ck Off and Dye to complete the look. (Note: The bottle says the real f-work so if that offends you….maybe don’t get it? I know that I swear enough to make a sailor blush, but it’s certainly not for everyone.)

This nail art reminds me of candy for some reason. Mmmm….candy…

Black and Pink Nail Art

{Purchased By Me}

At Sally Beauty Supply earlier this month, I picked up a few new OPI colors. One of which was OPI Can’t Hear Myself Pink. This baby is a freaking gorgeous pink and I’m so glad I got it! I wanted to do some nail art that would still showcase the gorgeous pink instead of covering it up so I used ManGlaze Matte is Murder and PolishedVino stencils to create the design show below.

Let’s take a quick look at the swatch of Can’t Hear Myself Pink first…

And here’s what the design is! It’s a Greek leafy sort of design but I think with the colors I picked, it almost looks like hearts.

Enchanted Polish Siren

{Purchased My Me}{Affiliate Links}

Who wants some shininess in their day??? This is Enchanted Polish Siren layered over black, except for the ring finger which is layered over white. I wanted to see what Siren would look like over something other than black. I have to admit that I hate it. It’s amazing over black, but over white? Blech. I don’t care for it at all. I bet it would look great over purple or green, though!! On the black nails, I only did one coat but on the white nail, I did three or four.

I wanted a little splash of nail art so I used ManGlaze Matte is Murder for the tips to create a black tip french mani.

ManGlaze Matte is Murder and Ciate Silhouette

Thanks to TJ Maxx, I was finally able to try Ciate nail polish. I just couldn’t justify the retail prices for it. I’m glad I tried it for $6.99 and not it’s usual $14 pricetag because….it’s just nail polish! :D The formula was good and the color is gorgeous, but it’s not anything better than my usual Sally Hansen. :) I used Ciate Silhouette as a base for this nail art. Then, I used my trusty striping tape in random patterns I painted ManGlaze Matte is Murder on top. I gently pulled off the striping tape and this was the result! I like the vampy look of these two polishes together!

Here is Ciate Silhouette on its own. It’s a dark, dark purple with tiny shimmers in it. I thought it looked more red in the bottle, but I really think it looks purple once it’s on.

ManGlaze Gradient Dotticure

I’m a huge fan of ManGlaze nail polish. You can get them easily on Amazon, too, so they’re not even hard to find! They naturally dry glossy but are killer glossed! It’s totally a win-win.

Polishes used for this mani:

ManGlaze Santorum
ManGlaze Fatty’s Got More Blood
ManGlaze LesbiHonest
ManGlaze F#&k Off and Dye

I started with two coats of Santorum, then I used my large dotting tool to put dots of Fatty’s Got More Blood near the cuticle line. I then switched to the medium dotting tool and put two rows of Lesbihonest. Finally, I used the small dotting tool to put two rows of F#&k Off and Dye. Before you scroll to see the pics, I should tell you that on the bottle of F#&k Off and Dye, the F-word isn’t censored and I forgot to cover it with my finger. So, if that word offends you, then you probably should stop scrolling before you get to the 5th picture. :)

Here’s a picture of the matte and glossy side by side.

Fail Friday: Doodles!

How about a whole new series? Fail Friday! On Fridays, I can post failed manis! The ugliest manis I’ve done and never wanted to post ‘fore real’! You will only find my fails here! Never on any social media!

I used ManGlaze #matteismurder as the base for this mani. And then I just doodles all over my nails with Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens!! Good polish gone wrong! LOL! I absolutely hate this. #failfriday

Pink and Red Valentine’s Day Mani

This is probably the only week all year you can do a pink and red mani. :)

For this, I started off with two coats of piCture pOlish dorothy. This is a gorgeous shimmer red. It really does look like ruby slippers!

 Of course then I did a coat of HK Girl Top Coat. I’d never be able to do nail art without it! After it dried, I put striping tape in all different directions and then used ManGlaze Lesbihonest and then peeled off the tape. Viola!

I Love Dogs! Paw print mani.

I’m going to a dog training seminar this weekend. (I’m a Certified Pet Dog Trainer and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.)

In honor of this fun weekend, I decided to do a dog print mani!

I used Revlon BubbleGum which smells amazingly like bubblegum!
For the paw prints, I used ManGlaze Santorum. Then, I topped with HK Girl Top Coat.

Mary Jane French Mani

This is one of my favorite manis I’ve ever done. It reminds me of Mary Jane shoes for some reason…

I started with two layers of Vivid Lacquer Talking With My Hands. Then, I used some striping tape and used ManGlaze Fatty’s Got More Blood. I love the outcome! What do you think?

Never miss a post! Subscribe to this  blog using one of the options to the right. :D

Half Moon Shiny Mani

This half moon mani features Orly Dazzle and ManGlaze Mink Mitten. I used two coats of Orly Dazzle and then applied one coat of HK Girl Top Coat. Then, I watched an episode of Buffy. :P

After my nails were good and dry, I used french tip guides to pain the half moons with ManGlaze Mink Mitten. This is a lovely lilac that dries matte. I did not put a top coat on over this last step so I could keep Mink Mitten matte.

ManGlaze Cabron

ManGlaze is one of my favorite polish brands. All of their colors are amazing. They are all meant to dry matte but they also are awesome with a glossy top coat. Here is ManGlaze Cabron in both its natural matte form and with a shiny topcoat. It’s a deep purple with microshimmers and it’s gorgeous!

Fantasea Checkerboard

I got this idea from one of the many beautiful manicures from Chloe’s Nails. I used Orly Fantasea which is a gorgeous holo that goes from pink to purple to gold. Then, I taped it off and used ManGlaze #Matte is Murder. It got smudged a little bit since I couldn’t use a top coat, else ruin the matte effect. But I still like it! Hope you do too. Enjoy!
