It Girl has released a new plate that looks like a Kaleidoscope Stamping Plate. It is plate IG202. For the base color, I used Pretty Serious Corvus Corax (press sample) which is a deep, deep blue jelly. For the stamping, I used Mundo de Unas Mexican Pink.
I know on Sundays I normally have an update on how my SeneGence adventure is going. However, I posted a fairly decent update about it yesterday! Admittedly, not a whole lost has changed in the last 24 hours…so I’m not going to have a full update about it today. :)
I just saw what my first commission check from SeneGence is going to be. I am SO glad I signed up! I feel like I should give the whole check to Cassidy, who is the one who signed me up last October. (I’m not going to…but like…I feel like I should.)
My first check (for doing nearly nothing) from SeneGence is $577. That is on top of the profits I get from selling product!
If you have been on the fence about signing up to join my team, jump in! It’s only $55 to sign up which is the lowest entry barrier to starting your own business that I’ve ever heard of in the entire universe! (It cost me about $1,000 to start my dog training business! And that’s a very conservative estimate!)
I signed up on 10/27/2016 because I was kinda bored at work one day.Seriously. I can’t imagine what sort of butterfly effect caused that to happen, but I am SO, SO glad it did! There are only about 70,000 SeneGence distributors in the US. (Compare that to over 1,000,000 for Mary Kay and Avon…EACH.)
I know you’re ready to join me on this wild ride. And don’t worry, I’ll help you every step of the way! Go to senegence.com/bettysbeauty and click on “Sell Senegence” to get started. It will send me an email and then I’ll get in contact with you to get everything set up.
Anyway….I know that you’re really here for the nail art. Today’s look starts with two coats of Glam Polish Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Then, I used It Girl Currant Stamping Polish to stamp this knotty hearts nail art design from It Girl Plate IG115
I have some lacy nail art for you today! I started with two coats of Pretty Serious Araenae (Press Sample) which is a deep, deep dark purple jelly. I used It Girl White Stamping Polish and It Girl Plate IG306 to stamp the design on top.
I am extremely impressed with the It Girl stamping polishes. They are as pigmented as Mundo de Unas, but without the smell. I need Nicole to make some in every single color in the entire color spectrum and in every finish!
Here is a swatch of Pretty Serious Araenae without art on top. You can really see how dark and gorgeous it is!
I have another mani for you today using It Girl Plate IG115 which is her Valentine’s Day themed plate. I wanted to do something a little less foofy so I started with two coats of OPI I Drive a Supernova. Then, I used It Girl Obsidian black stamping polish and this slashed hearts design to create this black heart nail art look.
Here’s a plain swatch of OPI I Drive a Supernova. It’s a pretty standard metallic silver polish.
Thanks for stopping by again today! :) Leave a comment to tell me what you think of today’s nail art look.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day….I have some Valentine’s Day nail art to show you! The base color for this look is OPI One Chic Chick which is a really nice light yellow creme polish. I finally bought It Girl Coral stamping polish after lusting after it on susanannie‘s nails. I also bought It Girl Plate IG115 which is full of awesome Valentine’s day stamping images. Her shipping is quite fast so if you order soon, you should have it before the 14th.
Here’s a plain swatch of OPI One Chic Chick. I rarely wear yellows and am usually repulsed by the color….but I gotta hand it to this one. I actually kinda like it, despite myself.
Nicole, from it Girl Nail Art, made this gorgeous teal It Girl Jelly Polish as a gift for me for Christmas. I’m not sure how she knew that I love teal polish. Maybe she’s just really perceptive like that???
I got a ton of compliments on this polish when I wore it. Nearly every woman I worked with wanted to know where I got it. Nice job, Nicole! :)
And now I’m going to completely diverge from anything nail polish or makeup related…
Did you know that women got the right to vote in 1920? It’s been 97 years since our foremothers fought for that right and won.
Even though it’s 97 years later, men are still taking away our rights and that has never been more clear than in the last 5 days. I urge you to call your representatives. You can find out who your reps are here: http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/
If at all possible, call them rather than email. It’s a lot harder to ignore a constituent on the phone than it is to ignore an email. If your representatives aren’t representing what you want, you need to tell them. They (‘they’ being mostly white, upper-class, males) are making decisions about parts of our bodies that can not vote. Therefore, we need to make sure they know that our vote will be lost if they don’t listen to us.
Millions of women have marched across this country the last few days. I wish I could have been one of them. Don’t let our voices end there. Call your representatives and make sure they know who you are and what you want. Your voice matters.
Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you are all doing well today. On Mondays, I usually wear black. You know…to mourn the weekend. So here’s a mani that fits with that motif.Glisten and Glow Mae from the December 2016 Holo Hookup box
I started with two coats of Glisten and Glow Mae from the December 2016 Holo Hookup box. I used Konad Black to stamp this checkboard-style design from an It Girl Nail Art Plate.
Here is a plain swatch of Glisten and Glow Mae. Her holos are super vibrant and strong.
I just found this draft post! It’s been sitting there, being ignored for months!!! Sorry blue nail art! I completely forgot about you. LOL. This mani used China Glaze Good Tide-ings which is from China Glaze’s 2016 holiday collection and was sent to me as a press sample.
The stamping polish is It Girl Sapphire and the plate is It Girl Plate IG 111. Make sure you check out Nicole’s It Girl Etsy shop this week. She’s restocking some plates and rumor has it that there might be some new ones in there, too! :O :O :O I’m really in the mood for some new stamping plates so I can’t wait!!!
I’ve started to get back into making YouTube videos and I would be honored if you’d follow me over there. I’m still working on getting better lighting and what not, but it would be fun to have you along for the journey! Here’s the link to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVshPV-x_xgpRcK2SSVud8g
Hello, hello! Today’s mani starts with a gorgeous concoction from Pretty Serious. This pink duochrome is Pretty Serious Mad Skill of Cloverton and I freaking love it. I almost didn’t even put a design on top of it because the polish itself is a work of art.
But…I did put nail art on top. LOL. I used It Girl Plate 302 and Mundo de Unas Red Wine to create the below look.
At the request of one of my downlines, I made a video showing all the Senegence makeup products I use on a daily basis. I’m certainly no makeup artist, but here’s my usual routine.
In the mood for some silly nail art? Well, you’ve come to the right place. LOL Today’s mani starts with OPI I Believe in Manicures. (I actually hate the formula for this polish. You can read about that here.) For the stamping polish, I used Mundo de Unas Iris and the leopard print is from an It Girl Stamping Plate.
In case any of you are still wondering about my ring finger… If I’m feeling sassy, I tell people it’s my signature look and/or it’s an ‘accent shape.’ But really, I just broke the corner off and I’m waiting for it to grow out. :P
Good morning! Today’s mani starts with two coats of Pretty Serious Love Bite which is a super dark oxblood jelly polish. I used an It Girl Stamping Plate and It Girl Stamping Polish to create this plaid nail art design.
Pretty Serious Love Bite did not look this patchy in real life. In fact, when I went to edit the photos a few days later, I was shocked at these close ups! The bright light shining right on the polish is really exaggerating the patchiness and I promise you, it looks even in real life.
Good morning! Is it cold enough out there for you?? Brrr!! Today, I have nail art using OPI Got the Mean Reds which is from the Breakfast at Tiffany’s collection. I used Konad Blue and a design from It Girl Stamping Plate to create this look.
I just got my January Holo Hookup box in the mail today, so I guess I better finally post this nail art from the December box. LOL. #slacker Darling Diva Polish Vivien
The base color for this mani Darling Diva Polish Vivien and it is THE reason why I ordered the December Holo Hookup. I’m happy to report that my expectations met reality and I lovelovelove this polish.
I used Konad Black as my stamping polish and a design from an It Girl Stamping Plate (which was given to me by the wonderful Nicole as a press sample.)
Here’s the holo goodness that is Darling Diva Polish Vivien.
Christmas is over, but winter is not! So here is a little snowflake nail art for you today. I started with two coats of OPI Fire Escape Rendezvous (which is one of the more terrible polishes in the Breakfast at Tiffany’s collection. See my full review here.) Luckily, once it was stamped, you can’t really see the awefullness that is this chunky glitter polish. For stamping, I used Mundo de Unas White. The snowflakes are from It Girl plate IG114.
I know the holidays are a wonderful time for some and a terrible time for others. I hope that all of you can enjoy what’s good about them and forget what’s bad. And, don’t worry, the Valentine’s Day candy will be out any minute now.
Happy first day of winter! To celebrate, I have a penguin nail art look for you. I used Pretty Serious Disc of the Heavens which was originally sent to me as a press sample. The stamping polish is MoYou Stamping Polish in Blue. I can’t remember when or where I got this polish! My memory is failing me in my old age. The adorable penguins are from It Girl Plate IG 113.
Since I spent a good amount of time wrapping presents this past weekend, I thought this many was fitting for today. :) I start with two coats of Pretty Serious Chariots of the Red Sea which is a beautiful crelly red with sparkly shimmers.
Today’s mani starts with two coats of Different Dimensions Audrey which is from the most recent Holo Hookup box. This polish is what prompted me to buy the box, in fact. I bright pink holo? Yes, please! Keep scrolling down to see the argyle nail art I did on top of this.
I love argyle patterns and I thought it would look really nice on top of this bright pink. I grabbed It Girl Plate IG104 and Mundo de Unas White for this creation.
I’m going to have to toot my own horn here for a second. Even though this mani is not perfect, I’m pretty impressed that I got each nail’s image straight. And not just on my four ‘model’ fingers! All 10 fingers have a straight argyle design. With minimal to no smudging! Whaaaa????
Have I told you lately that I appreciate you? If you scrolled all the way down to the bottom of this post, then you’re awesome.
Today’s mani starts with lots and lots of green polishes. :) I started with two coats of Pretty Serious Enchanting Evergreen which is from the Ghosts of Christmas Past collection and was sent to me as a press sample. Then, to make it more duo-chrome-like I layered Pretty Serious Mojito on top. Finally, I used Mundo de Unas Lime to stamp the Christmas Trees design from It Girl Fashion Plate IG113.
Today’s mani starts with two coats of Pretty Serious Fairy Lights which is from the Ghosts of Christmas Past collection and was sent to me as a press sample. I used Konad Princess Pink as my stamping polish with a design from It Girl Fashion Plates IG301.
As I’m sure you know by now, I’ve started selling SeneGence cosmetics which is the company that makes the freaking amazing LipSense colors. (They seriously do not budge off your face. Husbands and SO’s everywhere are rejoicing!)
I am now looking to start building my team. You will have one-on-one coaching with me and you will be part of a team where the leader made $20k in October. (WHAT?!) That is, of course, a major stretch goal. To put things in real perspective, I’ve been doing SeneGence sales for a little over a month and have made $2,500 in sales. That’s not too shabby. Considering that I get to keep 50% of that as profit, I think I can say I’m pleased I signed up.
To join SeneGence as a distributor, it’s only $55. (That’s the price of just one starter kit.)
Other than the $55 start up fee, there aren’t any monthly minimums. If you don’t order in a while, you will go inactive, but you can reactivate again. The inactive level is less than $200 in a 6 month period. I know a girl who does Mary Kay and just puts in one order at the beginning of each year to stay active. You could do something similar if you don’t want to go balls-to-the-wall with selling it. (But, honestly, it sells itself. I used to do Mary Kay and hated it. Since LipSense has such a strangely unique quality about it, it is a lot easier to talk to people about.)
If you decide to sign up, follow the link below and it will walk you through becoming a distributor! My sponsor number is #223849
Today’s mani is some blue and white nail art. I started with two coats of Pepper Pot Polish Friends with Penalities which is a new-to-me brand. This brand is local to me so I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try it! I’m such a slacker!!! The formula was smooth and the names are awesome. In fact, I bought this blue simply for the hilarious name.
I used Mundo de Unas as my stamping polish and It Girl Nail Art Plate IG303 which is a new addition to Nicole’s stamping plate offerings.
Today, I’ll be straying away from holiday nail art in order to show off one of my favorite color combinations – pink and blue! The pink is China Glaze Eat, Pink, Be Merry from the Seas and Greetings collection (which was originally sent to me as a press sample). The stamping polish is Mundo de Unas Turquoise and the design is from It Girl plate IG101.
I’m so happy that my nails are finally starting to grow out from the super bad break I had last August/September! (All my nails turned to nubs!!)
In other news, I have subscribed to a meal service called Munchery. (That’s my personal invite link.) I like this a lot better than services like Blue Apron because with Munchery, the food actually comes prepared! I seriously loathe cooking.
With the other services, you still had to chop shit. And measure shit. I can’t handle it. I hate it so much. So, I decided to have my food brought to me! LOL. Munchery drops off prepared food between 3pm and 5pm and all I have to do is heat it up! It’s chef-prepared and never frozen and tastes delicious.
The added bonus is that you can order all the way up to 1pm that same day for dinner that night. So you don’t even have to really plan ahead! Munchery is my dream come true.
It’s time to start breaking out those holiday stamping plates! Today I have a new one for you from It Girl Nail Art. Nicole has released a new series of plates that are smaller with full designs on them. Today’s design comes from this series and it is plate IG304.
I started off with three coats of OPI Funny Bunny. This is a white crelly which is why I needed three coats. (Plain swatch at the end of this post.) Then, I used two stamping polishes from It Girl Nail Art, both of which were sent to me as press samples.
As promised, here is the plain swatch of OPI Funny Bunny.
I hope you liked today’s Christmas sweater nail art! Thanks for stopping by. :)
Happy first day of December! I can’t believe that this year has flown by so quickly. Today’s mani starts with two coats of China Glaze Sand in my Mistletoes which is from the Seas and Greetings Collection. The stamping polish is an It Girl Prototype, but she has them for sale now! (Don’t miss out on these. Nicole spends a crapload of time making sure her products are top-notch.) The image is from It Girl Plate IG 101.
Other things that are going on…I’m having a December Promo for my LipSense business. 10% of all orders will be donated to the Pierce County Humane Society. Not only will you look good, but you’ll feel good doing it. :) You can order LipSense from me here.
Never heard of LipSense? Here is my review so you can see how cramazing it is. (That’s crazy-amazing.)
It is a cold day in the Pacific Northwest! Here is a cold mani to go along with it. :) I used Celestial Unicorn on the Rocks, Konad White, and a design from It Girl Nail Art IG201.
You can see that my ring finger has a sad nail break. I’m going to pretend like this is an ‘accent shape.’ We’ve all had accent nails, so why not an accent shape? This is going to be a new trend; I can feel it. Just don’t forget you heard it here first, folks!
Here is a plain swatch of Unicorn on the Rocks. I wish it had a stronger holo effect.
For Cyber Monday today, I’m offering free shipping on all LipSense orders. LipSense starter kits make a wonderful gift or stocking stuffer. If you know anyone who likes cosmetics, get them one of these kits. Most people haven’t heard of LipSense yet so it will be something unique to add to their makeup arsenal.
