This week’s Adventures in Stamping Challenge theme is Under the Sea. I had a trouble with this theme because I don’t have a single stamping plate with ocean images!!! Ok, that’s not exactly true. I have one with an anchor, but it didn’t look right. Therefore, I decided to do a little bit of an abstract interpretation of the theme.
I started with three coats of Emily de Molly Oceanic Forces (see what I did there?) and then stamped using Konad Nail Art Stamping Polish – Black and plate Pueen 59. I picked the image that reminded me of waves and underwater plants…in an abstract way. The black didn’t show up that well on the teal, though. :( Hopefully you can see some of the stamping!
First, a plain swatch of Emily de Molly Oceanic Forces because it’s probably my favorite polish of all time and it’s amazing and gorgeous and wonderful.
And now the shots with the actual stamping…see how it’s super hard to see? :( Oh well! I can still admire Emily de Molly Oceanic Forces!!!
Emily de Molly Blue Prediction is a cobalt blue jelly with silver hexagonal glitters. I used three coats for this mani. I recommend waiting a little in between coats so it dries a little. That way, the glitters in each coat won’t move around as much.
Emily de Molly is a gorgeous hot pink jelly the with holo glitters. I love it!
I was lucky enough to snag some Emily de Molly on a Facebook group and it was a really good decision! I used Oceanic Forces first and this is the prettiest thing I have ever put on my nails. It is a teal jelly with multi sized glitters. In the pictures it looks a little more blue than in real life. It is really a dark teal.
Dark Forces is my least favorite of the three. It’s a black jelly with the same style of multi glitters as the others in the collection.
Cosmic Forces is very pretty. It’s a dark purple jelly with the same style of glitters as the other two.
All three needed three coats for good opacity. Oceanic Forces is by far my favorite, but I think all three are wonderful!
