Stamping on top of Color Street French Riviera

{Affiliate Links}

As you know by now, I’ve been using a ton of Color Street nail wraps. Well, I wanted to see if I could actually do nail art on top of them. I picked Color Street French Riviera because it’s a lovely blue to silver glitter ombre. I thought it would look pretty underneath a black line stamping design.

I chose Cici&Sisi Plate 13 and Konad Black as my stamping supplies. The awesome thing about this technique is it really cuts down on the time it takes to do some nail art because you don’t have to wait for the base color to dry!! This is going to be a huge time saver for me, yet I still get to be creative and do my favorite nail art technique!! I used Seche Vite to seal in the nail art. It works well on the Color Street wraps as a base because they’re actually made of real polish so they don’t act weird under other nail polish stuff.

Here is what Color Street French Riviera looked before I did nail art on top. It’s a lovely glitter look.color-street-nail-wraps-french-riviera color-street-french-riviera

Pink Holo Nail Art

{Purchased by Me}{Affiliate Link}

I have a wee bit of stamping on my nails to show you today. The base color is Glam Polish How to Marry a Millionaire. I posted a ton of Glam Polish swatches yesterday. You should check it out here.

For the stamping color, I used Mundo de Unas Turquoise and a design from a Cici & Sisi Stamping Plate.

In other news…my work is closed today because it’s a snow day! Hooray! I hate the snow, but I will accept it if and only if it comes down in enough volume to close my work. FREE DAY! What should I do today? Paint my nails? Yes. Shower? We’ll see…

Green Stamping

{Purchased by Me}{Affiliate Links}

Today’s mani starts with Glam Polish Nobody Gets Left Behind or Forgotten. I really love the look of a two-tone mani so I decided to do a little green on green stamping. The stamping polish is Konad Green and the design is from a Cici&Sisi Stamping Plate.

Dark Blue Jelly – Pretty Serious Chiroptera

{Press Sample}{Purchased by Me}{Affiliate Links}

You might think that Pretty Serious Chiroptera (press sample) is black, but you’d be wrong. It’s really a dark, dark, dark blue/teal color. It’s also a jelly finish. :) Don’t believe me? Well, then you’ll just have to buy it and try it out for yourself. I used Konad White to stamp this swirly design from CiCi&SiSi Plate 02.

China Glaze Give Me the Green Light Stamping

{Purchased by Me}{Affiliate Links}

I grabbed China Glaze Give Me the Green Light a few weeks ago at Sally Beauty Supply. Even though this is a microglitter, it doesn’t need any undies or anything.

For the stamping design, I used Konad Black and Cici&Sisi Plate 25.cici&sisi-stamping-plate

The design is technically supposed to be butterfly wings but the design is pretty big so it wouldn’t fit on my nail and look like a butterfly. Instead, it looks like pretty swirls. I still like it, but I wish you could actually tell it’s a butterfly wing. :)butterfly-wing-stamping

40 Nail Art Ideas…Animals

{Press Samples}{Purchased by Me}

Today’s nail art look is for this week’s Crumpet’s Nail Tarts challenge. The prompt this week is “animals.” I will admit that I really phoned it in this week. I had grand plans of creating colorful decals and everything…but I just couldn’t find the time. I’m starting my own business (dog training! Woohoo!!) and a lot of my time and resources are being driven toward getting that off the ground. So I hope you will forgive one of the laziest nail arts I’ve ever done. It doesn’t even look that great. (I’m not fishing for compliments here. I think this looks like ass.)

I started with Pretty Serious Nuke the Fridge which by itself is a gorgeous color. I’ll have a whole crapload of Pretty Serious swatches coming up soon. I just got a big box of press samples from them and I’m slowly making my way through it.

The stamping polish is Mundo de Unas Taupe and the zebra design is from Cici&Sisi Plate 26.

Thank you for stopping by today!

A Polish 4-Way with Mango Bunny Polish Nope Still Winter

{Purchased by Me}{Press Samples}{Affiliate Links}

Today I’m going to have a polish 4-way. Get your mind out of the gutter. I obviously mean that I’m going to take one polish and show you four different ways to use it! Today, the chosen polish is Mango Bunny Polish Nope, Still Winter which is from the Limited Edition January 2016 duo. (The other half of the duo is a crelly with the same glitter mix called Spring, Is that You?) Nope, Still Winter was given to me as a press sample from the lovely Ed, co-owner of Mango Bunny Polish.

The first look that popped into my mind when I saw the purple microglitter was that it would look just spiffing over hot pink. I selected Sally Hansen Fuchsia Power which is my go-to hot pink. I’ve used half the bottle already so I think it’s time I got a backup!! This is two coats of Fuchsia Power topped with one coat of Nope, Still Winter.

At Ed’s suggestion, I’m going to try and do more macros. The only reason I haven’t done them consistently before is because I’m lazy. How’s that for some real talk? LOL.

The next design that popped into my head was glitter tips. I love glitter tips and they are a perfect step into nail art because they’re super easy to do, but look really fun. I put a blob of Nope, Still Winter on a clean makeup sponge and then dabbed it on the tips. The base polish is Dermelect Lazy Daze (which was originally sent to me as a press sample).

Woah! Two macros in one post! It’s almost like I tried or something. ;)glitter-tips-macro

The third idea that came to mind was to layer Nope, Still Winter over black. I love putting microglitters on black. Just take a look and you’ll see why. I used Zoya Willa (which was originally sent to me as a press sample). This time, I did two coats of Nope, Still Winter because I really wanted this to be super glittery.

Ok, so now I kinda see Ed’s point about Macros. I’m super in love with this picture if I don’t say so myself.

The last design I had to do with this polish was to put some stamping on top of the layering from the previous look. I love layering microglitters on black, but I even more love stamping on top of them!! I used Konad Black, a design from Cici & Sisi Plate 29, and my Born Pretty Store Clear Jelly Stamper to create this final look.

What did you think of this polish 4-way? Was this a useful post for you? I don’t know if anyone noticed, but I am experimenting with not posting new stuff on the weekends. I’ll still be on social media, there just won’t be a new post on the blog. I hope that by reducing the number of posts I do, I can increase the quality of the posts that get published. Please give me your feedback about what you think of this new strategy and this new post type. You know I always love to hear from you!

Snowflake Nail Art Stamping

[Press Sample}{Affiliate Link}

Who’s up for some more wintery nail art? Today I have some snowflake nail art for you! I used last year’s Cici&Sisi holiday plate which appears to no longer be available. However, all their stamping plates are awesome and I get a ton of use out of them. If you haven’t tried them yet, I highly recommend it! I used Sally Hansen Buffalo Nickel as my base color. (This was originally sent to me as a press sample.) My stamping polish was Konad White.

You’re Too Sweet!

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate Links}

This nail art starts with one coat of China Glaze Liquid Leather and then one coat of China Glaze You’re Too Sweet. Once dry, I used Mundo de Unas Black and a design from Cici&Sisi.

It’s hard to see the design since everything is so dark. :)

Here is You’re Too Sweet without the design on top. It’s a super fun glitter topper!

Halloween Nail Art!

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate Links}

Happy Halloween!!! Today’s nail art uses stamping from the 2014 Cici&Sisi Halloween stamping plate. For my base color, I used Zoya Raven and then I Love Nail Polish Glory (which is a lovely autumnal flakie.) My stamping polish was Mundo de Unas Black.

Teal Fantasy Nail Art

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate links}

This mani starts with China Glaze Liquid Leather, then one coat of China Glaze Give Me the Green Light! which is a gorgeous teal micro glitter. Once dry, I used Mundo de Unas Fantasy and a design from Cici&Sisi‘s newest stamping set.

Here’s a swatch of Give Me the Green Light! Isn’t she lovely!!??

Pretty Serious Nail Art Decals

{Purchased by Me}

For this mani, I made stamping nail art decals (sometimes referred to as reverse stamping) using the Uber Chic Mat. Polishes used were (from L to R picture below) Mundo de Unas Black, Pretty Serious Cuddle Bunny, Pretty Serious Pookie, Pretty Serious Snugglebutt, and Pretty Serious Presence.

If you follow me on Intagram or Facebook, you had the pleasure of seeing my first 15-sec video! These decals were filmed!! Check it out here or here.

I haven’t made too many stamping decals so these are a bit amateur.

I was experimenting with a new background. What do you think of this compared to my usual white background?

Yellow and Red Wine Nail Art

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate Links}

This mani starts with two coats of Pretty Serious Honey Puff. I used Mundo de Unas Red Wine to stamp a design from Cici&Sisi.

Here is Honey Puff on her own. She’s a lovely buttery yellow.

Red Zebra Nail Art

{Purchased by Me}{Affiliate Links}

This mani starts with two coats of Pretty Serious Stud Muffin. I used Mundo de Unas Black to stamp a design from the newest Cici&Sisi collection.

Here is a plain swatch of this gorgeous red creme from Pretty Serious.

Yin Yang Nail Art

{Purchased by Me}{Affiliate Links}

This yin yang nail art starts with two coats of Morgan Taylor All White Now. The stamping polish is Mundo de Unas Black and the design is from the newest Cici&Sisi set.

I love the simplicity of this design. I was originally going to stamp all my nails, but this design seemed to need simplicity!

Gold and Black Nail Art using Cici & Sisi Stamping Plates

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate Links}

I treated myself to the new set of Cici&Sisi stamping plates! This design is from plate 28. I started with two coats of Color Club Antiquated and stamped with Mundo de Unas Black.

Here are unstamped swatches of Color Club Antiquated. It is slightly golder in real life but it does have that gorgeous chrome finish you see in the pictures!

Keeping Glitter under Control with Enchanted Polish Festival

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate Links}

Today’s mani is one of my favorite looks. I love the look of black stamping over a fine microglitter. The black lines make it look like we’re keeping the glitter under control…and if they weren’t there, it would escape!!!

I started with two coats of Zoya Raven and then did one coat of Enchanted Polish Festival. Once dry, I stamped using Mundo de Unas Black and a design from Cici&Sisi Plate 15.

Stamping Over Texture Nail Art

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate Links}

For today’s nail art, I started with two coats of Pretty Serious Dimension X. Dimension X is a rough, golden texture polish. I love me a good texture polish!!! It’d been a long time since I stamped over a texture, so I decided to take a crack at it again and used Mundo de Unas Lilac to stamp a stripe design from Cici & Sisi Plate 12.

First, let’s take a quick look at Dimension X in her naked glory.

You can see just how textured Dimension X is now that I have the creme stamping polish on top. There’s something about this look that I really like. it reminds me of candy for some reason!

Enchanted Polish Octopus’s Garden Nail Art

{Purchased by Me}{Affiliate Links}

I purchased Enchanted Polish Octopus’s Garden from another nail polish addict. This is quite a stunning polish! It’s a purple-blue duochrome but it also has shimmer speckles and a bit of a holo effect in the sun. Basically, it’s almost every finish in one!

I stamped a design from the Cici&Sisi white collection using Mundo de Unas Black.

OPI Muir Muir on the Wall music nail art

{Purchased by Me}{Affiliate Links}

I found OPI Muir Muir on the Wall at Sally Beauty on clearance! It’s a brownish purple duochrome. Then, I decided to use Mundo de Unas Black to stamp some music notes from the Cici&Sisi yellow collection.

I like how the music notes are very subtle on the already dark background. You couldn’t see them unless you were really looking hard at my nails. Sometimes it’s nice to have nail art that people don’t notice right away. It’s like a little secret between you and your nails. ;)

Pretty Serious The Pink One Nail Art

{Purchased By Me}{Affiliate Links}

I love me some Pretty Serious nail polish. I recently splurged and got myself a couple more colors, including Pretty Serious The Pink One. As a huge lover of pink, how could I not get one called “The Pink One”??? This gorgeous polish has blue shimmer in it that gives it a blue flame effect. It’s stunning.

For the nail art, I used Mundo de Unas black to stamp a design from Cici&Sisi Plate 15.
