Special Finishes Patchwork Mani

Ok…so this mani was pretty tough for me. The three polishes I wanted to use were all special finishes–the ones where you’re not supposed to use a top coat. Therefore…I had to wait FOREVER in between steps! Oh, HK Girl, how I missed you! So a few spots got smudged from the tape. :( But I love the color combo! I just wish I loved being patient! LOL

The three polishes are:
Sally Hansen Chic Pink – Satin Finish
Sally Hansen Teal Tulle – Satin Finish
L’Oreal Hidden Gems – Texture Finish

Step One: Two Coats of Sally Hansen Chic Pink

Step Two: Tape off different corners of the nails and do one coat of Sally Hansen Teal Tulle

Step Three: Tape off opposing corners and do one coat of L’Oreal Hidden Gems

Abstract #GoHawks Mani

All right! Last Seahawks mani, I promise! It’s just…I live in Washington so it’s CRAZY up here! There is Hawks stuff everywhere! So, it has affected my nails. :)

THE SUPERBOWL IS COMING!

In honor of each team, I did a mani.

Used: Sephora by OPI-Paisely Attention to Me (Orange), Revlon Totally Toffee (Brown), and Orly Royal Navy (Blue)

Used: OPI Green-Wich Village (Green), Sephora Forumla X Omni (Blue), Sephora Formula X White Matter (White), and Revlon Totally Toffee.

Mary Jane French Mani

This is one of my favorite manis I’ve ever done. It reminds me of Mary Jane shoes for some reason…

I started with two layers of Vivid Lacquer Talking With My Hands. Then, I used some striping tape and used ManGlaze Fatty’s Got More Blood. I love the outcome! What do you think?

Semi-Quilted Coral Mani

For this quilted-style mani, I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Coral Reef. After waiting for them to dry completely, I used Konad special white and Vivid Lacquer stamping plate VL008 to get the cross-hatched white stripes. Finally, I used Color Club Abyss and a dotting tool to put a little splash of teal where the white lines intersected. What do you think?

Vivid Lacquer

Half Moon Shiny Mani

This half moon mani features Orly Dazzle and ManGlaze Mink Mitten. I used two coats of Orly Dazzle and then applied one coat of HK Girl Top Coat. Then, I watched an episode of Buffy. :P

After my nails were good and dry, I used french tip guides to pain the half moons with ManGlaze Mink Mitten. This is a lovely lilac that dries matte. I did not put a top coat on over this last step so I could keep Mink Mitten matte.

Hearts and Dots Mani

For today’s mani, I used Revlon Parfumerie Spun Sugar (which smells amazing!) and Zoya Mason. For the heart stamp, I used Vivid Lacquer Plate VL009.

I started with two coats of Spun Sugar, then did the dots. After waiting for it to dry, I stamped the accent nail. I hope you like it!

Snowflake Nail Art

For this wintery mani, I started with two coats of Enchanted Presto Magic. Then I used Vivid Lacquer Stamping Plate VL006 which has the snowflake design on it. I used Konad Special White for the stamping.

The thing I love about Vivid Laquer’s stamping plates is that they are big designs! That way, you can get your whole nail. Konad’s designs are just a tad small.

Cult Cosmetics Blackbox September 2013

The Cult Cosmetics Blackbox for September 2013 is waaaaay better than the last one. I am super happy. Even though I got a dupe, I think it was well worth the money.

Mash Rhinestones Wheel. This has 12 different colored rhinestones.

L’Oreal New Money and L’Oreal Sweet Nothings Mani

My husband picked these two colors out for me at the grocery store. The green one is L’Oreal New Money which is a bright green that’s perfect for spring. Sweet nothings is a very light pink creme. I decided to do a little dotting with it on top of New Money. It doesn’t show very well but I actually like the subtlety.
