Today’s nail art is inspired by this mani from @badgirlnails. I started with two coats of Amazing Chic Nails Piccadilly Circus, waited for it to dry, and then taped it off to apply Amazing Chic Nails Sound of the Underground. Both of these polishes are from her newly released Autumn collection, which she sent me to play around with! You can see the original post about them here. Finally, I used OPI DS Radiance to dot the silver on with one of the small dotting tools in this collection.
I received these four polishes from Amazing Chic Nails to play with and show to you guys! Amazing Chic Nails polishes are Vegan, Cruelty Free, and are never tested on animals. Fiona sent me three bottles from the new Autumn collection which released today and one bottle from the late summer collection. Let’s look at that one first!
Amazing Chic Nails Rare Sunny Day
Rare Sunny Day is a gorgeous metallicy yellow. On the first coat, I didn’t think I would like it very much, but by the third I’d fallen in love. I did need three coats to reduce visible nail line, but each coat was worth it. I think this polish is very cheerful!
Amazing Chic Nails Sound of the Underground
Sound of the Underground is a gorgeous red with holo shimmers in it. I am very impressed with the look of this polish. I certainly don’t own any reds quite like it! I find it actually quite unique and I think I’ll be gravitating toward this polish many times!
Amazing Chic Nails School Uniform
School Uniform is a slightly shimmer blue. Maybe metallic-esque? This one is hard to describe! Amazing Chic Nails describes it as a creme, but I think it looks like so much more than that!
Amazing Chic Nails Piccadilly Circus
Piccadilly Circus is a jelly-ish black with colorful, holo shimmers in it. This one is STUNNING. I can’t even tell you. Buy this one.We are having record thunderstorms on the day I swatched these, but I hope to wear it again soon when I can get a shot in the direct sunlight.
My general thoughts on this polish: I am very impressed. The colors are unique, interesting, and well thought out. If you click on the creator’s social media links below, you will see that she is just starting out. I haven’t tried that many indies, but I will say that usually when people are first starting out, there are a few formula problems here and there. I did not experience anything like that at all! In fact, I was presuming this whole time that she had a wild, mad-woman fan base because I enjoyed her polish so much. I really encourage you to consider this brand next time you’re in the marked for some new indie polish. It went on smoothly, self-leveled well, and is quite gorgeous!
The Entire Autumn Collection:
15 ml bottles, $10 each or $60 for the collection. Collection will also be available in 5ml mini bottles.
Piccadilly Circus: A black crème base with holographic highlights. This polish was inspired by London’s answer to Times Square. At night, the area is lit up with the multicoloured billboards and neon signs.
10 Downing Street: A black and white glitter topper with red highlights. This polish was inspired by the residence of the British Prime Minister, immediately recognizable by it’s black building, black front door and white trim. A red carpet is rolled out for visiting dignitaries and heads of state.
Sound of the Underground: A red crème base with slight holographic highlights.
Falling Leaves: An Autumn inspired glitter topper featuring various brown, gold, red, and orange glitters. The London Underground, lovingly called “The Tube”, inspired this polish. Loud and bustling with people at almost any time of day, you never know what or who you’re going to find.
King’s Road: A rich gold crème base. When they said the streets were paved with gold, they were talking about King’s Road. One of the richest streets in London, you’ll find flashy cars, designer shops, and delicious restaurants here.
The Lake District: A lake blue jelly base with holographic gold glitters and holographic highlights. Inspired by a national park in North West England that features a number of lakes, mountains, hills, and general natural beauty.
School Uniform: A rich blue crème polish. My school uniform colours growing up were blue and gold. I have fond memories of my days at school and wanted to create a polish that would remind me of them every time I wore it.
