This little beauty is OPI My Chihuahua Bites. It’s a great creme orange/red that goes with almost any outfit.
Starbox is the only makeup subscription service (that I know of) that puts exclusively cosmetics items in their boxes…and I love it!
Here’s the February 2013 box:
First, Fluid Blush in “barbie”. This blush is quite thick and a little goes a long way!
This swatch used a teeny tiny itty bitty drop and it went all over my hand. This tube will last me forever!
Lip Liner in Tipsy. This is a very pinkish coral that looks very nice and innocent on the lips (see below).
Eyeliner in Princess Diaries. This is very bright pink. I’m not sure exactly how I’m going to use a pink eyeliner yet. :)
Lip Gloss in Pink Oasis. In the bottle and in the pics it looks quite purple. but the color on my lips is much more pink and I love it!
Lip liner with the gloss.
As always, I’m quite happy with Starlooks!
So I split my ring finger nail. :( It was too far down to simply file it, so I pulled out my nail bandages. These are tiny clear sticky ovals that you put on your nail tear. The package says it lasts for days, even under water, which is not true in my experience. I found they last about one day. They are great for preventing that tear from ripping off and creating a jagged nail or, even worse, an exposed nail bed.
If you see the bumps on my ring finger nail, that’s the clear bandage underneath my nail polish.
As usual, the Ipsy MyGlam bag is a great value this month. I won’t say it’s my favorite month ever, but they did a great job.
Here’s what we got:
Coastel Scents Mini Shadows. These are about the size of my ring fingernail. The colors are pretty! They aren’t ones I’d normally try but that’s the whole point of these makeup subscriptions, right?
Lash card mascara shields. Do people really have that hard of a time applying mascara?? I have never had an issue! I kinda think this is a ridiculous product!
Pixi Flawless and Poreless Primer. I’m always on a quest to find the next best primer!
Pop Mascara. I have never heard of this brand so I’m excited to try something new.
Mica Gel Eyeliner. This is the product I’m most excited about. I love a new eyeliner!
Here is a swatch of Julep Rose, which I received in the Valentine’s Day Mystery Box. Rose is a dark pinkish red creme that goes on well with two coats.
Here’s another mani using the Nailtini Garden Party Mini-Bar set. This one started with three coats of Blushing Lady. Even with three coats, it wasn’t opaque, as with Blue Carnation. So far, I am unimpressed with this collection. The “straight up” colors are unwearable by themselves.
Once I put Garden Jubilee over it, I liked the mani but I think Garden Jubilee is too opaque for a top coat ‘mixer’. It covers nearly the entire color of the polish beneath it. I really like the other nailtini products I’ve tried so I think this set is just a fluke.
I couldn’t help myself….I bought another mini-bar from Nailtini! I haven’t even swatched my last one! Oh my. Do I have an addiction???
From left to right: Admiral Perry (navy blue), Blue Carnation (mint green), Blushing Lady (rose pink), and Garden Jubilee (multi-dimensional ‘mixer’).
I also splurged and got a mini lip gloss in Pink Ice. Here it is with and without flash.
Julep Helen came in the February 2013 Classic With a Twist Maven Box. She is a beautiful violet creme polish that will be fantastic for spring mani’s! If you’re interested in joining Julep, click here.
Today, I received the Julep Valentine’s Day Mystery Box. I received on lip gloss (dupe for me) and 5 polishes (two new, three dupes).
The gloss was Camellia. The polishes are Emma, Maya, Charlotte (dupes), and Rose and Evangeline (new).
Overall, I’m ok with the box since the two new colors I got were worth the price of the box itself. I think I should probably stop buying Julep’s Mystery boxes only because I usually do add-ons or upgrades for my Maven boxes which means I already own most of their colors!

Julep Laura came in the February 2013 Bombshell Maven Box. It’s a military looking olive green. I love it! It went great with a brown and turquoise outfit I had on today. If you’re interested in joining Julep, please click here.
Julep Claudette is from the February 2013 Maven Classic with a Twist box. It’s a nice orange rust-red. As usual, it went on smoothly. If you are interested in joining the Julep Maven program, please use my referral link here.
Julep Julianne was in the February 2013 Boho Glam Box. She is a dusty light blue that almost looks light gray in some lights. As usual, it went on smoothly. If you’re interested in joining Julep, please use my referral link here
