Weigh-In Wednesday + Deep Soul Confessions

I’m going off my usual topic of makeup and nails today. If you’re a member of my VIP Facebook group, you saw a post I made earlier this week about how I saw an old YouTube video of myself back when I was nice and healthy. (If you’re not a member of the VIP Group, join here.)

The video was filmed in 2012 after I had lost a bunch of weight. At the time, I still felt pretty overweight and thought I needed to lose 15 more pounds. Looking back on it, I was delusional. I looked amazing! I just couldn’t see it!

Before I go any further, let’s back up a bit. Here are some photos of me in 2010 when I was pretty heavy.

There aren’t a lot of pictures to show you during this timeframe because I avoided having my photo taken at all costs. If my photo was taken, it was just a headshot, or I made sure I was standing behind someone.

In 2011, I got my act together, joined Weight Watchers and began working out. I lost a ton of weight, was eating healthy, and felt amazing.

I thought I still needed to lose 15 pounds but looking at these photos, I’m like, “Damn! I was so hot!”

Now, it’s 2017 and I’ve gained all the weight back…and more. As it turns out, emotionally punishing myself hasn’t been a good weight loss strategy (go figure…) so I’ve decided to do what I did in 2012! I’ve rejoined WeightWatchers as of yesterday and I’ve re-upped my commitment to my fitbit!

I’ve gone back to hiding behind the camera and only doing head shots. However, I accidentally took this picture of myself when I was getting ready to film a video. I didn’t know I’d taken this picture until I was scrolling through my phone’s gallery later that day. I was mortified. Compared to the 2012 pictures, I’m a completely different person!

If the picture is sideways for you, I’m sorry. I told wordpress to rotate it to the left about 100 times and it still wouldn’t listen to me.

When I was at my thinnest, I was doing 5 miles per day each morning before work. Right now, I’m at about a mile per day. (I’ve been posting some of my updates about that in the VIP FB Group.)

Also, I’m eating an apple as I write this. #healthyfruit
