Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm Review

{Press Sample}{Affiliate Links}

Carmex sent me four of their limited edition moisture plus lip balms to review for you! These are available wherever Carmex is sold (see below for more info) and on Amazon. First off, we need to talk about how freaking adorable the packaging is. I can’t even decide which one I like the best because they are all so cute!

I want to do a matching manicure for each and every one of these! (Stay tuned…those will be in separate posts later this month!) If you’re like me, you carry a lip balm (or two or three…) with you wherever you go, so it’s awesome that this look so great! I love that it’s skinnier than most lip balms because then it doesn’t look like you have anything in your pocket.

I should probably talk about more than just how much I love the designs, right? The size of these balms is perfect for taking with you since it slides easily into pockets, purses, and car consoles. They have a very slight vanilla scent but you can still smell that classic Carmex scent. They also tingle just a tad like classic Carmex. These have SPF 15 so you can use them during your outside plans as well. (I don’t leave the indoors so I’m not really sure what those plans should be.) The balms have Aloe, Vitamin E, and Shea butter to relieve chapped lips and keep them from getting chapped in the first place.

I have one small, final confession to make. The night I got these in the mail, I popped the lace one in my pocket and we took our dog to the vet for his annual exam. When we got home, I realized I had lost the lip balm!! I was so upset because how could I review something I’d lost? (I know, I know – I had three others to review but the lace one was my favorite!) So, I spent the next week going to stores to find an exact replacement. I went to Bartell’s and Target and could not find them at all. I went to Walgreen’s and found the collection, but not the lace design. Finally, we went to Wal-Mart and I found it! I bought a backup just in case disaster strikes again. The moral of this story is two fold. One – don’t lose press samples! Two – if you see these in store, get them! They’re actually not super easy to find. Most of the displays I saw only had a couple left. That just goes to show that I’m not the only one who thinks the packaging is too adorable!
